Little bit of a bump here, but I’m a brand new player to the fighting scene. Thought I would say “hello” since I’m in the area! I recognize a couple names from what I’ve read in the thread so far, but I’m still really new to the whole community.
Decided to join when I saw the local thread. Maybe one day I will be good enough to lose to the best!
On behalf of the sask community let me be the first to say welcome and thanks for joining our community. The community is going through somewhat of a transition right now as we are still trying to secure a venue to host our gatherings, however for the time being I do believe one of our members is hosting gatherings at his place occasionally.
I’m planning a tournament on the good friday weekend to"reboot"the community and hopefully have a better handle on the venue situation by then. For the time being I strongly recommend to just stay active on this thread and attend whatever gatherings we can arrange untill a avenue is secured. Enjoy your stay:)
I noticed that TTFs has been inactive for quite sometime already, Im not sure if dustin has stopped hosting events but to my knowledge it looks like there hasnt been a event for a few weeks already. I think it might be time to start looking for some new gathering spot,of course it would be a temp venue untill something larger and public is found further down the line.
My suggestion as it always has been is the education building at the university, if anyone else has any other ideas please share. Id like to try doing some type of gatherings again this time leading up to the tournament so hopefully things can get back on track sometime very soon.
There was a mini tournament at his place last week. The forum itself may seem to be a little inactive, but we are still getting together from time to time.
In regards to the tournament, I would definetely attend. I finish exams on the 18th. On that note, you’re probably going to have a hard time finding a decent place at the university since it’s exam month. All the nice big rooms will be most likely filled with people studying.
Also, welcome Kmani! If you check out toontownfights.freeforums.org, events are posted when we gather at Dustin’s place.
Oh didn’t know Chao, havn’t seen any post from anyone in weeks so I just figured things got called off or something lol. Glad to see Dustin is still holding events, its a good sign that people are still interested enough to show up from time to time so I hope they show for the tourny too.
Oh shit! Plane crash a few blocks from me! What the hell! Just went and checked it out from a few meters away, holy shit! Cops warned me it might blow, so I backed off, but woah!
Edit: Apoligies on the language if anyones offended XD
Wanuskewin road, just North of 51st street. It is directly across from the extra foods, and it hit the sound wall beside the residential area. Crazy! I saw this tonight. There is still a cop sitting there with his lights flashing.
This is soooooo gay, I just bought a expensive new internet connection, a brand new HD TV and now my xbox live is giving me some lame"update error"BS…now I gotta wait till I get called back so that the"specialist"can fix it:annoy:
Anyhow wow thats terrible, I feel bad for the poor family. Im at least glad it didn’t cause more destruction, but still a very unfortunate event. I wonder what caused the crash?
What a way to kick off the weekend, how shitty for that poor guy. Im still wondering why the plane crashed though, and I wonder if the guy who got killed was the pilot or not.
They ran out of gas and crashed a mile from the runway. I don’t doubt its because they underestimated their load weight.
The pilot did not die, it was a passenger. If you drive by the crash site, you can see that the bottom of the plane is smashed apart from hitting the concrete retaining wall while the cockpit is relatively fine.
