Saskatchewan Thread 2011

Like I said to tara and dalton, what I said I said to Allie directly. I dont want to sound like a jerk when I say that but its the truth, at any rate its all worked out now so it doesnt matter anymore.

It’s really sad that your thread got deleted, since it was actually getting some discussion and had potential. I’m not sure when we started deleting threads that were legitimate. I don’t mean to be rude (but I call it like I see it) and I guess SRK has it’s problems just like everything else.

Anyways, we would still like to see you guys come out for our tournament at my mansion next weekend. I’m not a pro, but the tio tournament organiser is very handy. It does all the work for you and it’s quick, smooth, easy, and free. You can find it at allisbrawl.com/tio/.
So I’m sure some people out there (like Calgary, Winnipeg) have some really good tips and information for you, but I doubt they will be looking in this gongshow of a thread (I don’t mean any disrespect or to be rude, I just call it like I see it). You should probably make a post in their respective threads and ask for tips/advice/etc. I think they would be more than willing to help you out they all seem like really nice guys from what I know of them.

I don’t want to sound like a jerk here, but it’s the truth; People in Saskatoon don’t want to post on SRK SK thread#1 because anytime they have an opinion about something they are accused of being my cunt friends and told to GTFO. Maybe we should start a thread that the people of Saskatchewan are welcome to post in anytime… We could call it… like… Saskatoon/Regina thread 2011 or something. Or, even if you were to make a Regina thread I think that the fine people of Saskatoon would probably make it their home.

Ciao! Hope to see you soon!

I find it quite funny how someone who doesn’t even play the game or care about it beyond just as a excuse to be social has so much to say over the SF scene and it’s players. Although you did bring up 1 coherent point, if you guys want to make a regina thread then by all means go ahead. It isn’t like im learning anything from my local competition, its a benefit to the players from this city to fight me not the other way around. Therefore if you guys want a new thread then go ahead, stop saying you’re going to do something and just do it.

P.S.

If you promise to never post here again I’ll use my connections at the pharmacy to get all you’re meds paid for the full year, I’ll even throw in a month’s supply of slim fast for free. Oh and happy bday, im hurt by the lack of a invitation but thats ok I’ll survive I suppose. Also be sure to say hi to you’re mother for me, send her my best regards:party:

Yo, Rik, just sayin’ this. QUIT doin the “I’m done with <insert whatever>” crap and then turning 180 and doing it all over again. I honestly think that if you’re gonna commit to something, DO IT! So far the things are this:

  1. Quit Street Fighter (As per the 2k10 thread)
  2. Quit talking to anyone involved in the part of the scene (As per this thread and 2k10)

This shit will only get you an infraction and eventually a ban (again).

REAL TALK!

Hey I was just telling them to go ahead and make a regina thread, and then I even went out of my way to offer a nice little present as reward for making that new thread:).

Take the high road, Rik. For the love of god, just take the high road…

Fine I’ll take the high road…you’re no fun:arazz:

So who from Sask actually still plays SF cause I haven’t read anything about the game in this thread yet?

Need to get shit crackin in Regina again, been a hiatus in casuals due to holidays and all that.

Gettin ready to grind MVC3 over here.

We had a break over the holidays but had a gathering last weekend. We still have most of our players, and a few new ones.
Evan, Jeremie, Myles, Tara (has been picking up SF4, used to only play 3s), Chao, Dylan, Eldon, Chester, Dustin, a new guy we just recently met; Jason. These are the people that come play regularly/when they can and who will probably be at our tournament next weekend, in addition to a couple others (hopefully). There are also few others like Losha (and I think his brother?) who we’ve never met at casuals but who play a lot and like to get their game on! I’m not sure how many of Saskatoon’s players you know. Darcius also comes out almost all the time but doesn’t really get down with the SF4, he’s too 1337 for kid stuff like that. lol  He prefers …whatever. Stuff I’ve never heard of mostly  But, I’m pretty sure he can play some SSF when he wants to.

I plan on holding events probably every second weekend or so, but maybe a bit more often depending on how busy I am and how the turn outs are. We will see how it goes with people in school again and all that.

i got my preorder. time to get balig.

Just taking care of some biz first:), but regardless we wont have much to talk about untill AE and MVC3 hits anyways…hmmm 3s online would really be nice right about now.

Edit: Congrats eldon on winning the “tourny”, although if you ever want real competition just give me a shot and we can get a real tournament going:)

Check this thread out if you are up for participating in Canada wide rankings for 3S/CVS2/MVC2/ST/HF/CE/A3/A2.

It’s to get people interested in the older games again.

Don’t worry if there are only a few of you in your region for any particular game, everyone is pretty much in the same boat in that regard.

Awesome idea, but Sask only has 2 players worth a damn which is me and another guy named norman (who is pretty damn good at old school fighters). Im interested so Ill be sure to hit up that thread:)

What’s up Saskatchewan? So I’ll be in Saskatoon for business for 3 weeks starting on 1/31. Anywhere to get some SSF4 casuals? I’m just a casual player with no tourney experience but looking to get some play in on my time there. Anything going on for the release of MvC3?

toontownfights.freeforums.org is where we post casual meetups. Otherwise It’s usually just random get togethers.

We’re planning on having a small MvC tournament, sometime shortly after it is released. Haven’t decided a date, yet, for sure.
We have planned casuals some weekends and like Thoughtbird said you can check our city forum. Also, if you check it out and post in a forum or even in the shoutbox it should be easy to get some games in while you’re here!

Cool thanks! I’ll take a look on toontown for any updates. Are casuals always Bring Your Own Stick? I’m not planning on traveling with mine.

We usually have a stockpile of sticks.

Hey man good to meet you, well if you’re in town we can get some games in for sure. I’m the best player in the city so if you want some really good games just let me know (dont waste your time and just get to the good stuff lol). I’ll pm you my cell and all that jazz, hope to hear from you soon mate:)

sooooooo mannnnyyyy fightstickkkksss!!!

We always have enough sticks for both systems that if anyone needs one, we can share. What kind of business are you travelling to Saskatoon from NJ for? If you don’t mind me asking.

Our casuals are pretty laid back and there is a nice range of skill level/experience.
