Hehe well I just needed a small break from the bitches and assholes, and I think this last month really helped me get some"insight"on all of it. Besides I have a abusive relationship with SF4, it’s not good for me and treats me like shit but yet I can’t leave it:looney:
Losha: Well hey I can always give you a ride if no one else is avaible, I mean I assume this would be over the weekend anyways so it should work out good. Also the price point isn’t set in stone quite yet, I don’t even know if anyone else is down yet lol.
Shin: Yeah that is better we’ll run with that, although I think I’ll start calling myself the “SF GOD Of Saskatoon!” for the hell of it though…its got a nice ring to it:wink:
My mom would give me a good rant about not trusting in strangers or some shit XD. don’t worry, I’ll make a plan once a plan forms out.
Also, if it ends up as PS3, im gonna have to borrow a stick.
Hey I don’t trust them either hence why I always said hosting games at players houses was never a good idea lol. Also the venue is pretty good, its a public space with a lot of room and it’s usually frequented by students. Overall the place checks out so be sure to tell her not to worry, and if you can bring you’re brother that would be pretty cool cause he has a pretty good vega if I recall.I’ll also make a prediction that the tourny would be 36O since it seems like the majority of people who play are 360 users.
On that note, let’s have a look at this:
Yo Eldon, I’m glad to see you’re still around its been a very long time to say the least lol. Right off the bat I’ll just say a "fuck no"to the suggested venue but I suppose I’ll explain why…and dont worry I’ll avoid any personal remarks since it is the holidays, but it’s only a 1 time deal sort of thing:wink: Well I guess I’ll start off by pointing out the elephant in the room and note the low opinion most community members have on me. It sure is a tough crowd but you know what, it isn’t something I can help and to be perfectly honest I couldn’t care any less about it. I’m just here for the games and beyond that I could really give a shit what anyone thinks or has to say about me. Besides I don’t ever do anything I would regret or apologize for afterwards and if anything Im quite proud of myself…happy even. As a matter of fact, the lyrics from in this song explain my sentiments perfectly:lovin:
Additionally I would assume most people can exercise the maturity to put whatever"issues"they have with me aside and just enjoy the games,…cause ya know thats kind of the whole point why we are all hanging out to begin with. Although if they can’t get over the"drama" then I simply say fuck them…nothing more to it lol.
Anyhow now that we have that clear lets get to the real bussiness.I think there is still enough interest in town and from what I know it seems like Sask has a lot of closet talent. Therefore I think the best approach is hosting the tournament somewhere public and avaible, cause hosting it at a players home regardless of who it is just sounds kind of lame…like no offense to anyone but homes are not designed for tournaments lol. IMO I think the most important quality we should be looking for in a venue is one with the space to accomodate a large gathering. All the personal turmoil aside (like even If I was allowed to come) size does unfortunately matter and the reality of the venue space can’t be ignored. This isn’t just a small meeting between friends, it’s a tournament which usually equates to a larger attendance. That is why need a space that doesn’t feel full beyond 8 people and a venue that can support multiple set-up’s that are both comfortable and reliable. Another thing is that if it’s a public venue it might lure out more players. Im guessing most people would prefer somewhere “neutrel” since heading out to a strangers home for video games can be somewhat creepy and unusual lol.
With that said this is my suggestion and how I think we should organize the tournament. I was thinking we could do this tournament at the education building with 20$ entrance fee, the winnings being divided between the top 3. The platform of choice would be the 360 and it would be double elimination with somewhere around 3 set-up’s to get things moving along faster. It would be over a weekend of course and maybe sometime in the next month or 2, I guess whatever works best with everyone’s schedule. Hopefully we can get the event recorded too, and I think we will call the tournament the"Kind Of The Prairies Tournament"as it sounds awesome…but personally I think"God Of The Prairies Tournament"sounds very badass too.
So tell me what you think, if it sounds good we can get the ball rolling and get this shit up and running sometime soon.
Well regardless I just want the event to be fun and organized, but we still got a long time before anything is official so lets just see where things go frpm here.
I dont entirley think that thing Eldon said wa for you to see then copy and paste on the forums. He wasint really asking you. I didnt think you even checked the ToonTown Site with all the bashing you’ve given it. Am not trying to flame/troll/start shit. Just saying mabey this isint the best start and you mabey should have went at this with more finesse. Its kind of like somone intercepting a note ment for somone then telling everyone around you. am not really complaining just like i said maybe not the best way of going at things.
I had the idea for a tournament before I read that thread (check top of this page), and when I saw my name dropped I figured I’d respond. I also thought that since Eldon wanted the samething as me that maybe we could work something out at the education building or whatever. On that note, I’ve always given my honest impression of TTF which IMO is not bashing but just a simple matter of opinion.
Although if Dustin does decide to host I don’t care, as I said I wouldn’t mind a tournament sometime soon and if people want me involved then they already know my stipulations. It isn’t like I need a local tournament to prove I’m the top player in town or anything so its more or less to the benefit of the players who want to fight me and improve there game. Either way Im not sweating it, TTF’s can do whatever they want and I’ll just do my own thing.
With that said its almost close to the new year…so long 2010 and my old school Sask thread you shall be missed:)
Wrong thread lol, post on the Sask 2011 thread. Anyhow I’ve fought mago and randomJ and inthul so I know…but ever since getting back from my month break I’m playing like shit so yeah I don’t mind just let me know when you’re ready.
