Sanwa JLF-TP-8T mounting template

I’m sure this has been asked before but I couldn’t find it. I am working on my joystick cabinet now but I don’t have the parts on hand. I have found templates for mounting all of my buttons, including the hole diameter needed. What I need is a template for the mounting bracket for a Sanwa JLF-TP-8T so I can go ahead and route the hole for the top-mounted bracket. Not just the round hole for the joystick, but the template of the entire metal bracket that mounts the joystick. Thanks in advance!

Do not start threads for simple questions like this. If you just checked the Sanwa/Seimitsu FAQ, you would have found this information pretty quickly since someone just asked for this information just this morning.

God, I should ask Mr. Wizard to give me mod status so I can just close/delete threads like this.

Duncan345, don’t take my bitching too personally. It’s directed at everyone who starts unnecessary threads. Just don’t be lazy next time and start a thread when there are plenty of places that are appropriate to ask this type of question.

I was trying not to be lazy… believe it or not I have modded forums before and I know how annoying it is when you see the same question over and over. I have been looking for this info for about a week and haven’t found it, but then again I didn’t try to look again this morning.

Feel free to delete the thread.

Again not trying to be too big an ass, but my Sanwa/Seimitsu FAQ is listed in a couple of the stickies. It shouldn’t have been hard to find and should be one of the first places you go to look for answers or to post a specific question regarding anything Sanwa/Seimitsu. There’s no reason it should have taken a week to find it. It is also the second thread that comes up when you do a search for “jlf mounting plate.”

I’m not saying you didn’t try to look like you said you did. perhaps you did. I’m just suggesting some quick and obvious ways to get answers quickly so next time you don’t have to 1) search for a week and 2) start a unnecessary thread.

Ok man, whatever you say.

Here ya go:

Size: 95x53x1.6(millimeters).

And what is YOUR problem??? ;D.

Haha, “whatever you say” is a nice response to my valid points. Duncan, don’t get too mad. Really, my anger isn’t solely directed at you. I just didn’t really buy your response given the info I provided. At least Per was nice enough to get the info for you directly. He’s a lot nicer than me.

Shut up, Per! : D Go back to answering your e-mails or answering idiots in your Akihabarashop thread.

Whew. I was looking for this exact information because I too am going to be building my box without my parts handy (just ordered lastnight…got a while to wait). Thanks Duncan for making this post and taking the heat so I didn’t have to! (But seriously, thanks…I’m in the exact same boat as you my friend.)

PS. Paik, in your FAQ the link to the mounting plate dimensions from TRNG’s shop is dead (it’s not working on my end, at least) making obtaining said information a bit more of a struggle than just reading and clicking.

Apologies for digging up an old thread, but i just need advice.

I have the JLF-TP-8YT on order which i assume has the same mounting plate as the JLF-TP-8T, i’m starting to design my arcade box that has no wood at all involved an is made out of straight plexiglass 4.5mm thick.

So these are the questions.

Would 4.5mm be to thick to bottom mount the joystick?

Should i top mount the joystick?

Should i choose a different thickness for the plexiglass or keep it at 4.5mm?

Going off the diagram in this thread, should i drill the hole on the plexiglass exact 21.3mm to fit the JLF-TP-8YT joystick, as stated on diagram?

Any suggestions will be great =D
