I enjoy STGs as well as fighters so the LS-32-01 is my choice, but the JLF is high quality and just as good.
Seimitsu LS-32 > Sanwa JLF
I tried Sanwa JLF before and it was quite too soft. The LS-32-01 was hard and exhilarating. What a ride!
LS-32-01 for me dears.
Voting JLF simply because I’ve gotten more used to it, due to the fact that majority of cabs here use it.
Oh, I recently played on two JLF’s and they were both extremely loose and made for really sloppy play for me. I’m used to a LS-40, which I much prefer for shorter engage. I’ve modified mine however with a Spanish iL spring from my iL buttons cut down to 6 coils to make the stick smooth as butter, considering the Matsushita microswitches require a lot more force than the Omron switches inside the JLF. This counters the looser spring I swapped in, and makes for a perfect amount of resistance. I’ve also expanded the actuator with 10.5 length x .5 width inches of vinyl tape to make the throw nearly non-existant, movement is very quick especially considering the LS-40 has the shortest engage out of the Seimitsu sticks and without the throw you can ride the gate or snap back to neutral much faster.
As for the JLF, I can’t stand it. Huge sloppy throw and absolutely no resistance, it feels like a broken stick in comparison to a LS-40. I played one with a square gate and one with an octo gate. I’m glad I finally had a chance to try the octo, because it is pure shit plain and simple. Diagonals are a huge bitch to do on an octo, and the extra slop from the JLF didn’t help at all. The square gate was a slight improvement, but over all both JLF’s were a mess to play on. Maybe it’s because I’m used to sticks with more tension, but jeez, how do folks play on those?
Seimitsu LS-40 all the way!
