Sanwa JLF or Seimitsu LS-32-01 POLL - Please vote if you have experienced both

ive had both and hands down seimitsu ls 32 01 is a better joystick then the sanwa jlf.

i have used both… JLF has a longer throw and softer spring making motions easier to do and require less force. ls-32 has a harder spring and way shorter throw making motions harder to do but much quicker.

i prefer the ls-32

Cut out the entire plastic area so the joystick can fit through. Drill holes through the metal top plate and mount to that. Then cut a hole in the bottom plate for stick clearance. Like in this picture.

i like the seimitsu buttons better so i liek there sticks better sanwa needs to come out with a button that you can put pictures in

I lost.

seimitsu! i’m in the process of switching all my jlfs to ls32-01s

I’m normally a Happ player (ducks) but my execution is better on a JLF. I like the tension of the LS-32 but I couldn’t pull off moves as consistently as I could on the JLF. I’m sure it’s just a matter of practice. The JLF was a pick up and play for me though.

I’d really like to try a LS-56 which apparently has a harder spring than the LS-32 and can take an Octo gate. It has the same mounting holes as a JLF which means it should be able to swap into more cases.

Same mounting height/shaft length too.

haven’t tried the 56 but i love the ls 32, right now i’m in the process of putting a different type of stick into each arcade stick I known…must note this for later.

LS-32  but sanwa buttons.

I bought both to see which I would like better…I far prefer the LS-32-01.

I have ls32s on my arcade cabinet, and now a JLF in my TE stick.

TBH I have absolutely no problem with either, although the seimitsu has slightly more ‘clicky’ microswitches (tiny bit more effort to engage), and shorter throw (which is good imo).

Overall it’s really a preference thing, I’m more than happy with either, but I’d probably go with the seimitsu, if only because they are a bit cheaper.

I much prefer the sanwa buttons on the TE stick though.

hmmmmm… looks like all but 1 person prefer the seimitsu over sanwa… i have a sanwa and i like it a lot… ive never played on a seimitsu so i wont vote based… but after reading all these comments makes me want to give seimitsu’s a try!

i was actually gonna buy seimitsu’s for my very first order from akihabara, but my buddy insisted that i waited for the sanwa’s to get back in stock. i basically told him r the sanwa’s THAT much better or is he just saying this because they r the “popular” brand and u dont like swaying away from the pack…

lol i think my next order will consist of seimitsu parts… to give em a shot!

LS-56 or LS-33 w/56 spring FTW.

I guess I’m the Sanwa stick guy. That probably won’t last since I’ve been playing more shmups than fighters lately. Oddly enough I can’t stand Sanwa buttons. They feel cheap to me. The Seimitsu screw-in buttons win by a long shot in my book. I like feeling like I actually pressed the button.

It depends on what type of game you’re playing.

In my opinion, Seimistsu ls-32 is better for shoot-em-up’s, and the JLF is my stick of choice for most 2d and 3d fighters.

I’ll vote once i get my JLF, ls32 and ls56 in.

Ls-32-01 for charge characters and Jlf with the actuator mod for QC characters. It may be just me but I noticed that the jlf can hit the diagonals a little easier when I execute an ultra with Honda and Balrog.

Does anyone know what the difference is between ls32-01’s and ls32-02’s. Lizard lick sent me the 02’s and I was wondering if I will still be able to use this for my SE stick?? After a two month wait I’m hoping that I won’t have to exchange my 02’s for 01’s…

You’ve got a -01 the PCB just says -02. When I Googled it, when mine came from Akihabarashop, it seems the theory that -02 is just a PCB revision of the -01 model stick.
