Sanwa Clear Push Buttons...FINALLY!

lol…I thought butteroj only made mixed color balltops…mb, those shaft covers look very lustrously fancy, maybe it’s just the photo angle…still awesome looking though.

Come on, where are the screw-in variants of the OBSC-30-Cs? I want Sanwa’s in my next tek-case, dammit!

Sanwa and Seimitsu do not function by Logic, but by unexpected acts of Chaos.

We might get to see them some day… maybe.

Would anyone happen to know how/where I could get clear(color tinted) balltops and metallic shaft covers?

you mean like the the Seimitsu bubble or complete clear like this

I do powder coated and also have the blue gold red and pink 7-11 covers

The balltops fit JLFs right?

I pmed you about all the other things.

of course all jp except some the jlw’s

What the deal with the sanwa OBSC-24mm snap in buttons, when can we expect to purchase these or preorder.

Arcade Shock has them available for order. I just got mine the other day and already replaced the start button in my VLX.

Oh? Are these out finally?

So how does one remove the clear cap? I want to be gentle but I can’t find a way to remove it without force

i just used pliers and pulled from the middle (the part that goes over the microswitch).

Just pull up from the edge as you would remove a plastic lid from a container.

Got my clear ball top and shaft cover installed on my VLX last week. Looks great!

That’s the best explanation I’ve read for the operation of both companies! You get a “Star” and a big “Like” from me today! LOL

There were some rumors about clear Sanwa buttons being “squirky” and noisy. Can any of you guys (de-)confirm that?

Not sure about “squirky”, but they do have a slight tendency to squeak at times. It’s barely noticeable if you’re focused on the game; you can easily tune it out.

Having worked with some of these recently I can confirm that there is a design problem with the plastic Sanwa chose to use.

I fixed this by using a very thin layer of lubricant on the plunger shell.

It’s not a major problem, but still a fail for Sanwa’s R&D department.

“Squeak” was the word. Thanks.
