Really going through 3s withdrawal. I’m starting to get the shakes. I thought I could kick the habit for good once I moved from the valley, but such is not the case. Is there ANYONE that plays 3s in the Santa Monica area? I am down for gettin’ together once a week. Post up or PM me. GGPO does not cut it. Help a brother out!
Edit: I also play a really bad game of 4, but I am down for that as well.
Uh, I’m slightly far from the Santa Monica area (living nearby LA Community College now). However, if you want, dude, we do 3S tourneys at AI every Thursday night. If you can meet up with me at my place, I can take you.
Beyond that, I’m down to meet up anywhere for casuals.
Same here I’m all the way up in LA between the 10 and 60 by CSULA. But if you can make it out say on weekends I’m down to play a few games with you.
If you’re ever gonna be in the West LA area, I would recommend stopping by Coinz arcade on campus at UCLA. Me, Nick (RockTakane) and a few others play about once a week. There are random players that come here and there but we don’t really have a “scene” so to speak, so if you do come then post in the UCLA thread a few days before so we know to meet you there. JR comes every so often but he only plays SF 4 -_-
Aside from that, I’m afraid there aren’t many options. I don’t really know anyone that is interested in playing console 3s, let alone console players that are active in the Santa Monica area. And unless you’re going to a ranbat or meeting up with good players, A.I. is usually NOT worth it if you’re just going to play 3s. The cabs are in a shitty spot right next to each other and the monitors/sticks suck. The only other places with good cabs/players are Denjin (godly) and occasionally FFA—but it’s nothing like the old days, most of the people that play there now are scrubby.

Not really interested in going to UCLA. Haven’t been to that place in about 5 years. Do you remember Red Octane? Classic tourney. I’ll hit you up if I ever get the itch. I hit up denjin like once a month. I go to FF about twice a month, but the sticks are as good as they have always been and nobody goes, unless I txt Dae and he meets me there.

You could always so by regency fun center if you really wanna play some 3s, not the best set-up but its good enough, shouldn’t be that far. I go there sometimes, when i really one to play 3s.
norris pm me next time you plan on hitting up regency, I used to be the resident 3s god there. No one goes anymore so I stopped going but if there’s even one willing soul, I’ll be there.
Regency is a bit far from santa monica to tell the truth. He might as well head to denjin for the same time spent getting to and fro.
I agree that he probably should just go out to Denjin or even AI, but this is just another option he has, and I’ll pm you when I go again probably next week, I’m not that great though.

HEY GUYS! Who wants to play 3S AT UCLA!!! JEREMIAH AND DURALATH! I’m calling you guys out in partic! I record the matches now, IF you want 
and JR will play 3S at UCLA too! He says SF4 is too slow in the arcades compared to the console play he’s used to, with Justin Wong and Alex Valle. I might be able to get AC-Slayer to play too, although he moved to San Gabriel so it might be a bit tricky…?
