Anyone down to play some GGxxAC,CvS2, or Mvc2 Friday? lemme know. think i’ll be in town around 4ish
anyone want to play some CvS2 today? (sunday)
**Ok so I have decided on 90% of everything. :lovin::woot:
So we will have 4-man teams per game.
It will cost $15/person, so $60/team. So stack that cheeze~:wgrin:
— So a one school can have six 4-man teams.
Players can play more than one game.
Of course they’d pay for each game they play.
The University Battle shall be held on the 1st saturday of the New Year.
Saturday, January 3rd 2009, @ 2:30
I have yet to have choosen a campus at which to hold it at.
Most likely it’ll take place at either SJSU or SFSU.
The games played will be:
CVS2
3rd Strike
MVC2
GGAC
SF4
and if they have it by then Tekken 6.:wonder:
I also want to get some sort of sponsoring. At the least I’d like to get some T-shirts and mayyybbbbe some free grub… So if anyone can help me out with that, or just point me in the right direction. I’d be most thankful.
Also since there will be a lot of duties that will need to be delegated. I’ll need some helpers/lackeys to assist with the tournament running. :wgrin:
Any willing and able volunteers out there?**
** Okay ok. After careful thinking, I have decided to nix the University Battle idea. Now we are going to have a Giant Inter-Arcade battle royal. All games will consist of a mess of 5-man teams. Double elimination, Gamers Vision style. So once everyone on your team has been taken out. Your team loses that match. If your team loses the next match. Then you are eliminated. Like always, we will need at least 8 teams per game. Anyone from any Arcade, school, or back alley may enter. As long as you got a team, you?re in.
Since we?ll have participants from all over the bay. I want to make it worth the drive. So it?ll be either $10 or $15 per person. So keep ya paper right!$!$!
Also if we have a lot of teams enter. We might have to have it at either SVGL, MGL, or SFSU
Since they can accommodate a lot of people.
As for when it takes place it will be January 10th 2009 at 2pm. I think this is ample time to get a team together, save some money, and refine your skills/gimmicks.
The games held will be:CVS2, MVC2, GGAC, 3rd Strike, and SF4.
I?ll see about Tekken6 or DR, and Melty Blood. Depending on the demand, and the available equipment.
Of course I?ll need some dependable associates to help out with running the tournament, collecting monies, and video tapping matches. I still want to get some sort of sponsoring for the tournament.
i.e. Shirts, food/drinks and hopefully prizes. Somebody who has dealt with that, please help me out with that.
So please GET HYPED, STACK YO? CHEEZE, AND ENTER THIS SHIT!!!**
fuck I need a team.
and practice.
anybody in SC play STHD? now that i’m not busy with school i’d like to get some live comp.
How’s the hype growing in SC? I’ve been busy with life for the past few months.
Anyone gonna’ get SFIV next month? Or thinking about making the hop from CvS2, Marvel, and 3S to SFIV? I’m thinking about buying a PS3 next month+SFIV with my next paycheck plus some Holiday funds, but I’m still iffy about it…$400+ is a bit too rich for my blood.
I haven’t played anyone decent at any fighting game lately, so maybe we can set something up in the next month to unite the SC scene.
Does anyone here come down to SC Boardwalk nowadays? Its so dead and boring now, but yeah I don’t blame people since the sticks and the game choices do kinda suck but still…
I actually swung by the boardwalk twice this weekend. I was surprised that they managed to fix the damage on mvc2…but of course the sticks are still shit.

all santa cruz 3rd strike players are welcome to come the tourney this saturday… especially the legendary Santa Cruz Alex!! hope to see you guys there
If anyone’s going from SC and would like to give me a ride to that shizz, I’d be tremendously down.
If you’re willing to make a trip, I go to Sunnyvale Golfland Arcade to play Blazblue and San Jose State University to play SF4. And one of my childhood buddies is getting SFIV. I’ll let you in on it once he gets it.
There’s always someone good on those machines. And a lot of hype.
On a side note, I’m planning a trip to Santa Cruz (esp since I’m not working two jobs anymore).
Hum…SJU and Sunnyvale golfland? Seem kinda’ far…and I really hate the fucking 17 bus ride. But maybes if I’m not doing anything on the weekend I’ll check it out.
But, definitely get me in on that SFIV scene. I’m a bit more towards getting a PS3 now for SFIV just because I don’t want to fall behind on practice + online (if it don’t suck) is going to be hype as fuck.
What games are you playing now Mayftw?
Well I’ll be down this Sat to see if anyone exists down at the Boardwalk any anymore, if not I’ll be playing CvS for a little granted the sticks hasn’t been abused too much.
Which games do they have at the boardwalk and how much??
Which games are you looking for?
Hey was it someone here that played N Gief-Ter-Kyo on CvS tonight? Was kinda cool that someone showed, even if there weren’t much other to do. I was that one with the ugly hair, just got a bad cut today ha ha. Good game by the way, if you’re here.
Last time I went they had MvC2 and CvS2.
They also had that Mario Kart game with Namco characters in it… It was like Mario Kart vs Pacman
Oh, I was hoping they’d at least have some form of SFIII- maybe like NG or Double Impact, but whatev’…
Considering what I hear on the condition of the sticks I doubt they’re gonna’ upgrade and get some new cabs soon, right? If anyone’s down for some console goodness, I’m always down on the weekends. I usually just play 3s and KoFXI, but I’m always down to learn how to play some new games.
