PLEASE READ! VERY IMPORTANT:
We have a new venue! On May 14th Ranbats 1.2 will be held at the GoodGame LAN Center in Downtown San Luis Obispo. GoodGame is right next to the main parking structure and across the street from Jamba Juice and the Downtown Centre Cinema. THERE ARE SOME RULES THAT NEED TO BE FOLLOWED. This first event is a trial run. If everything runs smoothly GoodGame may become our permanent venue where we can host recurring events. As far as setups go, it will be exactly like last time. We will need to bring our own monitors and consoles just like last time and I will be bringing all the extension cords and power strips that we need. We will still need to bring our own foldout chairs for now. All Rules are below.
GoodGame Rules:
-We must not disrupt the normal business activity.
-Do not damage any property of GoodGame or ours.-Please be as clean as possible.
-Please keep chairs as orderly as possible.
-All outside food/drinks will stay outside as it is a long event and things may become messy.
-Please do not shout out obscenities (But stay hype!)
All these rules are for just this event. If we are respectful of our new venue the rules may become less strict for future events. I know we have a good respectful group of guys and expect that you all will follow the rules. Any spare equipment you can bring is greatly appreciated! have fun, but also remain conducive to the overall environment, and be on good behavior.

(probably in a couple weeks, lol). im gonna be maining stryker.
MK9 felt all kinds of weird imo. I felt like every character I played had some sort of spammable/cheap set of moves with some being worse than others (ie Sub). Definitely pretty fun, and if I were to continue playing I’d probably try and main Kitana or Jade. Need to mess around with others again though.
ya i heard about the game having a few balancing problems and that sub-zero is already way overpowered, but i still can’t wait to pick this up today and try it out first hand. its all about that Sweet Johnny Cage!

Wow its been awhile since I’ve been to the site. First thing I gotta say is great job with what you guys have set up right now. Very impressive.
I know I just disappeared after that first get together but I ended up getting a back injury so I’ve been dealing with that mostly.
Well, I’m wondering if you would be interested in throwing MK9 into the mix of games your playing. I’m looking for some people to level up and learn the game with. Please consider putting MK9 in the rotation.

Cool thanks! So when are you guys having the next get together? I can bring a ps3 and the game. I can bring my 17" monitor like last time too if I need to. I can run that setup to the side out of your guys way. I’ll hop on some SSF4 with you guys too although it has been a while since I played with Juri.

We can defiantly do a side tourny if people are interested. I just want to get people interested in this game. I tried a lot of different things to get peoples interest in a scene, but this will be a huge boost to the MK crowd in this area.

It’s cool if you don’t want to run a tourny for Mk this time. It might not have a big crowd the first time around. But just letting me set up a MK setup and have that running causals while the RanBats for the other games are going on, would be a big help to get some more people interested for the next get together.

@Darkhood It would be great to have more than 1 setup running Mk9. We have quite a bit of space for setups. Most of the MvC3 videos are onthe Showdowntournaments youtube channel. For some reason it refuses to let me upload the rest. We also have about 2 hours of footage (third strike/marvel) from the live stream test that we did tonight.
Sure thing, I did a little organizing on the YouTube channel and created a playlist for all of the MvC3 RanBat videos that have been posted so far by Nic. The SSF4 ones aren’t up yet and there is an issue with the length of the MvC3 regional grand finals that needs to be worked out.

I’ll see what I can do about getting a second setup. I can’t guarantee that I will be able to get a hold of a second setup but I will try my hardest.

Ok so i just told nic couple days ago that there is a street fighter IV tournament on that same day in lompoc Ran by the 8 year old boy and his dad and first prize is a Mad Catz TE stick so the RoTb krew might go to that tournament and maybe we can set up the 5vs5 MVC3 later that night i can bring the krew over later that night.
