Cool. I have very little experience all together, but I want to level up. I’m excited to see that there’s been a few hidden pockets of gamers in the area and that we’re all finally finding eachother.
yo ggs last night MonGoloRoboKop, thats a sick mix up with that tron assist. i have no idea when she attackable. Showed me a lot of things i still need to learn in this game. Anyways ggs and i look forward to playing you guys irl. we should have like a weekend casual or something were we all meet up and play. if your ever down for that hit me up so we can set that up.

see the first post. Josh (trexid) is hosting another tournament/casuals. It’s at an awesome location too! hopefully we can get the paso and santa maria crowd to slo and make it something big (for central cal at least haha)
yo trexid if i go to the april 9th event i can bring a 360 set up with sticks and monitor because all of us play on 360 we dont have ps3 sticks at all 
For sure, please bring it! The more setups the better!
Most of the guys so far have brought PS3 setups, I think we had like 5-6 setups last time and it worked out well most everyone had a spot to play and we were able to roll through the 12 man mini-tourney pretty quickly too.
I’ve updated the original post with the concrete details about the event on the 9th so feel free to check that out. If you have any questions just post em here and I’ll answer them.
I’ve also removed the RSVP requirement and just let people know to show up.
If anyone has suggestions for something that I’m missing with the event just let me know and I’ll see if I can figure it out. Good to see the interest building! I think you new guys are going to like the venue, there is TONS of room to grow. After this one I’m going to try and increase the frequency of these events to either weekly or bi-weekly depending on what the consensus is.
Tournament
As far as I know I (MistahNiceGuy) will be arranging all bracket matches for both mvc and ssf4. If you have any questions as to how the tournament will be ran (although Trexid explained it quite clearly) let me know. You can contact me on here or by phone. 805-801-5853.
Unfortunately my friend (ClownHC) who has been helping me organize tournaments and brackets will not be able to attend. It would be greatly appreciated if I had 1-2 more volunteers to assist in getting players to matches and keeping track of the brackets.
I’m HOPING to at least be able to attend this as a spectator… my game isn’t nearly up to snuff, but I’d like to support the scene in any way I can. Lookin’ forward to it.
Big tournament!
I have been working on and setting up a large tournament for this summer where we may have players coming from the bay area and LA (excellent adventures LA). So during summer I’m hoping we have a large tournament (over 100 people) sometime in July before EVO! If you guys have any ideas for sponsorships let me know. I have been in contact with levelup about sponsoring the event and we are still talking. Soon though! Oh ya, throw name ideas for a major tournament my way.
Hey Saiko let me know about the details about the summer tournament i would be down in helping and thrwoing gifts and some tournaments such as HDRemix i know alot of people as im really involved in that scene as you may know i have a krew of people from the santa maria valley we are trying to make a name for ourselves and helping our local sf scene would be awesome!
Sure thing! Also, keep in mind that most of us are here to level up as well so I wouldn’t stress too much about where your game is at dude We’ll have a good spectrum of players and I’m sure most people would be willing to help you out.

Ya it turns out the other guy running the tournament with me will be able to go, but we will mostly be organizing the brackets and assigning people to stations. So depending on how many people are volunteering to help out I will probably have you manage one of the stations. Make sure the matches are being played correctly and reporting scores, etc.
Yeah no problem, you guys need me to bring anything? extra power strips, etc. I dont have a t.v. to bring but we all have 360s and plenty of TE sticks. And as far as food and drinks go, i can bring some stuff down soda/beer/whatever. just lemme know i want to be as involved as possible. SUPER HYPED FOR THIS!!! LETS GO CEN CAL.
