My pleasure! Thanks for coming out everyone, was good to see some new faces there. I got some good practice in with my Bison but still need to put in the hours on my Abel lol. Is your SF4 main Guile Ozzy? Hes pretty beefy dude. Also thanks for the tips on GG thats like the 2nd time I’ve ever played that game, Faust is pretty noob friendly, I may have to pick up a copy of that. What was the version? Guilty Gear Acent Core + or ?
Also GG’s to Michael! I got some really good Chun practice in with him and he taught me how to auto correct Bison’s ultra! Very nice! Nik’s Honda is coming along nicely, that’s a fun match up.
Next meet is looking like its going to be Super release date of April 27th which falls on a Tuesday. Depending on peoples schedules I could possibly work a 1/2 day that day to host from about 2:00pm on. I can guarantee that I am going to be playing SSFIV the night of the 27th at my place so if anyone wants to just cruise over I’ll definitely have my setup going and we can just do some round robin style fighting. Should be pretty hype if we’ve got everyone focused on one screen instead of 3 or 4 setups. Either that or we could just plan for that next closest Saturday which is the 1st of May. I am going to be really busy in March planning my honeymoon in Tokyo so I will not be able to host one sooner than that.
Also, if anyone has any suggestions as far as ‘Don’t miss this Arcade!’ or ‘Game Shops’ in Tokyo I’m looking for more stuff to explore in that realm. I’ll also reach out on thefighting. So far the first spot on my list is Game Inn Sakura so I can pick up the Kuroda DVD set and possibly search for the location where SBO is held. Any word on tournaments going down in Japan around April 1st - 14th? =D!
thanks man. and yes, guile’s my main. and secondary is honda/balrog. the gg game is Guilty Gear XX Accent Core+. ac and ac+ are the same gameplay wise, but ac+ has two console characters (kliff, and justice), a story mode, and some other miscellaneous options. i would say ac+ is the one to get.

We definitely need to get more Bison vs Honda matches in, as well as more HDR matches (game is too godlike)

Wohoo 3 more weeks! My Tuesdays are super busy with class from 12-4 and orientation training from 7-10, but I’m down for May 1st ;D. Can’t wait.

Nice! So I’ve set the date for May 1st for the next gathering which is the first weekend of release for Super. Original post is updated in the current events sections, if anyone has questions or concerns let me know! Feel free to bring your setups and copies of super if you would like. It might be fun to all crowd around one TV for a while to focus the hype! Getting excited for this after playing a little super in Japan and watching the streams last night @ . Looks like they’ve done some major balancing after watching some Vega matches.

Same! Good games to you also Oz. Yeah, I enjoyed starting a fresh character with Guy, got a bit of training in before the event but my combos definitely need some fine tuning =) After Saturday I definitely was pwning some dudes on PSN.
Good games to James and Michael as well, his Juri is getting stronger! Didn’t get to play Nik this time but np there is always next time and PSN.
I’d like to get a couple more of these in before EVO, thinking about switching completely from Bison to Guy but we’ll see lol. Bison might be better for tournament play with his new found beefyness.

WTF!!! SLO players what up!!! im so hyped i found this thread and hope it stays active. we’ve been play here in paso robles seems like forever now, the lack of players here in slo county forced us to travel up and down california for competition. we have a large crew here full of great players. i would love to set something up with the slo players and see whats what. we play most of the fighting games out right now. plz send me a pm of the next meeting and we look forward to play with ya’ll.

Awesome! Glad you found this thread man! Yeah, we’re in the process of building up a new venue that is most definitely going to become a regular thing. The first one we had last weekend was awesome, we had some regulars and some new guys too!
I’m trying to figure out another weekend that will work with everyone’s schedules right now. My personal life is pretty busy right now as I am expecting a new baby within about 2 or 3 weeks so I’ll need to play the next one by ear.
Keep your eyes on this thread for more details about the next one, would love to have both of our groups get together and start building up the fighting game scene on the Central Coast!
