whats up guys! how many people entered for ssf4 and mvc3 at your last event? im thinking about coming down for this, but i wanted to get a feel for how many people usually enter these events.
around 20 i think?
Theres roughly 6 players from Santa Maria, 5 or 6 from Paso (not too sure), 1 friend of mine from Arroyo Grande, probably another 5 from SLO, and 2 from lompoc (me being one of them). I havent been able to go due to my work schedule, but i wouldnt be suprised if theres more people each time. It would be cool if there was a somewhat permanent venue, which the TOs are working on, iirc. It started at Trexid’s pad back in late 2009 with the old SLO crew that is pretty much gone, to the warehouse this year, to the game theory building at calpoly (current).
if you have the time (and can afford the gas), i recommend coming down. they’re cool ppl, and some can really give you a run for your money (either in marvel3 or ssf4).
I think we had 25 entrants for both SSF4 and MVC3 last event. We’re hoping to get the same or bigger turnout this time. We just got our stream up and running last event which maxed out at about 200 viewers at one point, we were competing for eyeballs with the $10k MK9 PDP tourney last time 
Hoping we get some good numbers this time and a good turn out as well.
Also, I just posted the stream / event in the calendar so it will show up on the front page of SRK to bring in viewers again.

Thanks to everyone who came out on Saturday and to everyone who tuned into the stream. It turned out to be a good event! Took us a little while to get going but it turned out to be a really fun day. I placed 3rd in MK9! 
@XSK Samurai. One request…don’t hurt us too bad >.< lol jk. It will be great to have some pro players come to our events. That is really going to help our local scene grow. We have a larger tournament than our usual Ranbats coming up on June 25th at Polycon also!!!

Oh man 3rd strike!! Little known fact all the RoTb member’s couple years ago started playing street fighter for the first time on 3rd strike and learn how to use a stick on 3rd strike!! They had no idea what a joystick was… So better be ready gonna be bringing that Elena and Alex back! 
Oh yea what were the results for SF IV and Marvel this past weekend and whats up with this polycon tournamnet i hear about thats on my b-day! is that part of the ranbat season?
It is not part of the ranbat season. I am here officially announcing that the grand finale will be on June 18th. Polycon is a seperate all day event that will take place in I believe the UU building at cal Poly where the bowling alley’s are. I am working on getting 3 fightsticks for the mk9, mvc3, and ssf4 AE tournament 1st place prizes.
SMK Toejam took 1st place in both MvC3 and SSF4. Jangles got 2nd place in SSF4, and Genetic Swag took 2nd in MvC3 (Securing his position in 1st place with 23pts).
