Ok. First of all, Hi! I just registered with the forums, can you tell!? -_-
Anyway, I’m a 21 year old gamer who’s been on (addicted) to games for about 18 of those years, but none of my friends ever played any fighters more than a week. Its great to find a place that people are finding out how to get together to play.
So with that over, I wanted to throw my name in the mix. I live in Point Loma (a 15 minute walk from Sea World) and the only arcades I’ve ever known all my life have been Mission Valley, Belmont, Boardwalk and Wonderland. None of which are close to me and none of which were really…alive whenever I went to them.
I wanna meet people and if at any time you guys (or gals) have a group doing something and would be willing to meet a new face, I’d love to join you at some arcade. Distance isn’t a problem really. Like I said, I live on the beach so all the arcades are already farther than walking distance from me.
So what say you San Diego! Anyone want to suggest some help for me or try playing some games. I’m good at CvsSNK, most SNK (love Gaoru/Samurai), DOA, SC (moreso SC1 for Hwang), Smash Bros, the classic SF series, Alpha3 and a few lesser known Anime fighters. Working on Guilty Gear but…that’ll be a while.
And of course I’m new so I did the best I could to post info after lurking here for a while.
I play 3s but I suck horribly at it :-(.

according to my friend, mission valley sticks cant even block, and i have no trouble believing that.
Mission Valley is pretty miserable. Both in amount of people and quality of games.
However I don’t have a problem driving to anyone elses arcade if they want to play.

I wish I had checked this thread earlier as I hosted casuals in clairmont yesterday. People play all fighters at casuals but guilty gear is everyones “main” game. Comp is good because people from SD play and people from further north often drive down. Im always looking for more sd comp though. If your new to the game and trying to learn, me and other guys can teach you. Regardless next time I host something in SD i’ll post here too. If anyone ever wants to just play casual pm me or something.
