San Diego Mudd Club Thread

So I am assuming 3S is up and running now?

Although competition parts are nice 360’s are ok also. What matters is simply for the stuff to work. If everything works then the place is pretty much better than everywhere, competition equipment or not.

P1 side on Nickles 3S is so screwed all you have to do it wiggle the joystick and you throw hadoukens for no reason.

This will be the new kick it place for me.

The next step we need to do is have everyone ask the owner to lower the prices and /or the entrance fee.

They still dont have the cabs.

AND GOOD NEWS!

One of the employees said that 3s is coming on TUESDAY (on the big cab, cal poly style) and after they test it out and run whatever tests they need to, we will be able to play it.

oh and PS

theres gonna be a lot of ddr players there today ( like 15 ). im not talking about lil skinny casual players.
these guys will reek mudd club to death. good luck…

Hmm… They should keep the entrance fee and just lower the price to 25cents per game. That would be fine with me. Especially since they have the VIP deal where if you pay for the VIP card, you dont have to pay for the entrance fee for the whole year. Its a really good deal since they’re having a buy one get one half off sale on the grand opening

I still think they should kill the entrance fee. hell, it’s an arcade, not a place to pick up on chicks

Says you! I’m always on the prowl :badboy:

agreed!!!

I’m cool with that idea. An entrance fee sucks no matter what but if you keep the entrance fee and lower the cost per game that’s not so bad.

Why would you pay an entrance fee when theres nothing free there. It’s like paying for the right to pay more.

Personally, its just the fact that everywhere else where theres an arcade theres no entrance fee AND the games are 25 cents, and those arcades still make good business. Why must we have too? I know the San Diego population for games isn’t as big but once it starts up it can only get bigger.

Gerald loves the shotos.

get rid of the entrance fee and make it 25 cents.

Damn, the last like 2 pages are all saying the same shit haha.

oh and btw, get rid of the entrance fee.

sigh, i think he just really likes that entrance fee.

1$ entry fee and .35 cent games would be fine IMO… its a decent compromise for the people who say no entry fee and 25 cent games

no, 25 cent games and no entrance fee just like every other arcade in the united states.

if mudd club can justify charging an entrance fee and 50-75 cents per game, im down to listen.

are you retarded? 35 cents?

its obvious people want 30 cents.

who asked for your 2 cents?

okay fuck cents. just get rid of that damn fee.

seriously, no fee + .25 games plz.

plus, there are times that my friends just want to hang out for a bit, not necessarily to play. it’s kind of gay that they have to pay an entrance fee just to hang out, so they just don’t even come anymore :frowning:

Once again, stop being cheap marvel players. Most arcades do charge 25cents to play, but then again most are established, and they probably take home a good amount of money to do that. People dont start arcades just for locals to have fun, they start them up with the intent of making money or at least profiting some how. I can think of two decent arcades that had a cover, Nickel and Golden Token. Location sucked for Golden Token, and Nickel is past its prime. You guys are asking for a helping hand in price, and arcade cabs, but instead of taking the hand you seem to want the whole damn arm. Im open to a new gaming enviroment, and if i have to pay a little more to have more space where im not french kissing the next guy then so be it. Im not saying we have money to spend, lord knows i dont but hell lets not be cheap. Considering you guys drive to cal poly and ffa, i dont think funds are a problem.

GODEN TOCKEN STYLE
1 dollar entrance for letting you in
25 cents a game.

And the cabinets were japanese style, and half of you mofo’s never went on a daily basis or even a weekly basis, which is why you guys can complain all you want but doesnt seem like price is the real issue. You can say what you want but mvc2 isnt a big draw anymore no matter where you go. Golden token was 3 games for a dollar. The place went out of business, because the guy tried to cater to the community, and marvel/cvs2 isnt and wasnt a big draw.

Doesnt matter to me really, i paid at golden token and at nickel. I drive to tournies up north which is gas + extras. Id rather not pay a fee but if its there and the place is actually DECENT, i guess i wouldnt mind. But if we had a vote mine would be for no. I like 25 cent games cuz thats what nickel and golden token and LA arcades charge. But i remember a couple years ago i was doin 50 cent games at mission and plaza, so meh. Once again my vote would be for 25 cents, but dont mind doing 50 if thats what the place chooses to do…
