San Diego Mudd Club Thread

This is towards Viet -

The post from myself and let blood run with that 33" cabinet is just fine. That is the same cabinet they use at CAL POLY arcade game room. The buttons are in the right spots and the sticks are not slanted like at nickel city 3’s machine. All the owner would have to do is buy the competetion buttons and probably new sticks ( NOT 360’s ). Personally think those are horrible. The only reason to get 360’s is to train everyone to be good at them if you want to enter the tournies up north because most the arcades use them. But in the end its all about going to evo and reppin it over there and you can use your own stick so why bother training 360’s? Should just get sticks everyone likes =]

ok so then so we have a difference on the 360 sticks and the 8way which one does everyone perfer

im down with competition sticks as long as they have a hard spring, or 360s. i just cant stand loose american style sticks.

Agreed. Get competition 8-ways with a hard spring ( which you can order at the same time like a combo). So my vote is not to get 360’s.

I think everyone should cast a vote and what game youre casting your vote for.

MvC2 - Competition 8-way

Also viet, massytems.com i think is a site that sells a couple things if you cant find it on happ’s site.

I prefer competition 8 way sticks that are not to hard but not to loose for marvel.

8-way with soft or medium spring.

Franky you are crazy with that silly hard spring. its an arcade stick, not a car jack.

I like competition 8-way with Medium or Hard springs for Marvel, competition 8-way with Hard springs for 3rd Strike

playing 3s on a soft spring is in my opinion impossible.

mudd club should think about getting japanese cabs, they take up less space and probably easier to come by.

i vote instead of getting 2 3s or 2 marvels, get 2 cabs for each game and make it head2head. that would be way better than getting some small cab and have to be all up on the person your playing.

basically set up mudd club like golden token.

8 way hard spring for 3s! Maybe one head to head and a regular cab?

Nah. I dont think Mudd Club should not get head2head cabinets. Its much more cost efficient and better for the players for seperate cabinets rather than using two cabinets for head2head. The players will be able to get more games in if it wasnt head2head

I say just get two seperate 3rd Strike cabinets with competition 8-ways and hard springs, two seperate Marvel cabinet with competition 8-ways and medium or hard springs, and a Cvs2 cabinet with competition 8-way and a hard spring

i dont think theres enough people in sd that play 3s to have 2 cabs. id much rather have 5 people playing on one head2head than have 2 people on one the whole night, and 3 on the other.

getting 2 cabs for head2head 3s might sound like a waste of money, but when you think about it, 3s kits cost like 500-600 bucks. if we get head2head we only have to buy one 3s kit, and that is beneficial because 3s kits are hard to come by.

also getting 2 cabs might result in the whole “cab 1 is good, cab 2 sucks syndrome” where the sticks on one cab are better than the other, and then we have 5 people playing on the good cab, and the other one is sitting there not getting any plays. AI and ffa have this problem with 3s machines with bad controls, and they dont get any play.

if mudd club invests in showcase cabs, then yeah forget head2head. if they are going to get one small cab, and want us to play on them, then get head2head please.

maybe im just biased because i think head2head is the best? haha

Hmm… Jappacabs sound pretty cool, but I think more people like American style…

CANT WAIT

yea my bad either medium or hard spring, but definately not soft or loose spring.:arazz:

siamese cabs:lovin:

reminds me of the good ol days.

o yeah. Med. Spring for MvC2 and Hard spring for 3s. and for CvS2, i dont really know. as long as its not Japanese sticks, but i can manage:sweat:

-Matt

japanese cabs. japanese sticks. period.

-gene

haha gene be quiet  its all about evo and thats where you can use your jap stick man :lovin: let sd have their american sticks lolz

right on.

hey guys just got good news my boss said he bought the 4 other cabinets one mvc2 two 3s and one cvs2. We are gonna swap out the other mvc2 into another cabinet. The guy who buys the arcade machines for us says that its 39" wide and its the same ones at cal poly so im assuming they are the showcases but we will find out next tuesday. And our 12$ all day arcade thing is on wednesday if i didnt mention before. And our grand opening is on the 28th theres gonna be no entrance fee that day and well hopefully have all the games up and running also if u guys think u want to get a vip that day is the day cause were gonna have a buy one get one half off deal for all vip membership

make no entrance fee and 25cent games and im there all the time!
