went today and I have to say that just by talking to the owner I can see this place becoming the new arcade for fighting games in the near future. The cab was not big but it was nickle size, sticks were a bit to short for my taste dont know if they can do anything about it but other than that it was good, very nice place with lost of room and a lot of computers. Good games to matt, ray, kevin, and matts brother havent played him in like 2 years.

Mudd Club is pretty sick. Its more roomy, not as stuffy as Nickel, and the staff is really cool. The manager even gave us all a round of Energy drinks. The Marvel machine was super small, and needed better buttons and joysticks. They didnt have 3s and Cvs2 yet either. So there wasnt really anything to play other than Marvel, and maybe the Dancing games but thats really not my thing. But they said they ordered the buttons while we were there and they’re working on getting a new Marvel cabinet as well as 3s and Cvs2 so thats cool.
They could use multiple Marvel, 3s, and Cvs2 machines. That would be nuts.
Maybe two Marvels and two 3rd Strikes
so was there a tourney on thursday or? ya 2 cabinets would be awesome.
no tournament just casuals.
UPDATE:
Was talking to the employee at Mudd Club today. He said that they’re thinking of getting another Marvel, two 3rd Strikes, and 1 Cvs2 instead of that dance game, Pump it up. Sounds like a great idea. Hopefully they do that
They are also adding a new thing where you $30 for free play on arcade and free computer time for the whole day.
And remember, they have a VIP card thing where you pay $50 so you dont have to pay for the entrance fee for the whole year as well as other special treatment
sorry ray i probably confused you, just to clarify before anyone gets the wrong ideas we had some tests today and if everything went well we are going to have a all day pass everything for $50 and if your a vip that includes the consoles. We have a all day pass for PC for $30 except saturdays i think. And the $40 for all day consoles and $40 for all day arcade except on sat and the day we have the $12 arcade special. On the new arcade machines im pretty sure he is getting he had me order buttons for a total of 6 fighting machines so i think hes serious about it, as to when i dont know
OoOo. This is actually starting to sound kinda cool. Not hyped yet though. Not until the machines are physically there.

I would say the all day deal needs to be a bit lower. When I go to Nickle the most I ever spend is 20 bucks and that is if I play other games besides 3S. If I just go 3S all day then I usually only spend 10 if not less.
I do understand it is a new arcade and all. They are also offering better cabs and a nicer atmosphere. They have to pay their bills somehow. So I would be willing to pay 10 dollars more than what I would spend on a good day.
In other words I would be willing to pay 30 bucks for an all day thing, which is still a little high but I’m not going to be unreasonable and ask for absurdly low prices just because I’m broke.
The reasoning behind my price point is because if a LOT of people show up the wait time for your turn can run up to as high as 20-30 minutes until my turn comes up.
So lets run a situational example:
Lets say I plan to be there all day, probably around 10 hours. Lets say the wait time is 30minutes for each turn. Lets also say I loose every game I play. So I go up every 30 minutes. That is only 20 games in one day. If I were at Nickle City those 20 games would only cost me 3 bucks. Nowhere near my moneys worth to be paying 40 dollars for a day.
But once again, Mudd Club is offering better equipment and a better atmosphere which is why I’m willing to pay 30. That and because I don’t think I’ll find myself losing every game I play and I don’t think I will only be playing 3S while I’m there.

Thats true. I also think its a little over priced, especially since im always the one winning… But I think the $12 free play for the whole day is pretty good deal concidering how they will be getting multiple cabinets soon. They also have Silent Scope on free play. It would probably be better if all the games were free and not just selected few (Except for that Horse game of course)
