This Derrell guy ya’ll talking about, he doesn’t go by Dp on the forums does he? Cuz I remember a guy from San Antonio a couple years back that thought he was the shit at MvC2 until the Houston players set him straight. He’s never shown up to our tourneys since.
Dude is one and the same. The scene in SA died for about a solid year or so. Pretty much now the scene only consists of Powerman Fox, Sinister X, and me. Darrell showed up for one of the tournies here in SA, but he didn’t enter. Apparently he thought that “everyone went there just to see him lose.” Which was kind of odd considering only 3 of us there knew who he was.
But anyway, it’s cool that at least a few other out of towners showed up for the tourney. It’s cool to see some other players out there besides the SA scene. Hopefully I’ll be there for the next tourney.

People enter console tournaments because there is NO worry of faulty sticks and shit, plus, why the fuck would you play something on arcade if its readily availiable on console?

and on the other point it would be that on console it doesen’t have that arcade feel that you do when your on console, you sit your ass on the floor and play(god, that hurts), then on the other point is when you have it on your lap you move and stuff, and that is not really good, good confort on the chair but bad confort on the lap and playing. Beside all the good players that are good at console are probably killers on arcade, cause arcade sticks are hard to play on. but i don’t know what is good though still. But i don’t know, were all better at arcade than on console i guess, thats why were not used to console, i think the same goes out to everyone else, besides as i said before there is the tourney this week and i want players to come to it, but like you said they’ll rather play console, oh well.
I’ll more than likely be there on Friday. I’m sure that I can help to give you all some practice before Satuday. Not only that, but I can get to play the people who I never got to play last time…
