I’d say it looks less SC-ish, and more Tekken-y.
Anyway, I’m always up for new stuff, and the lack of “Japanese interest” means almost nothing when it comes to simply giving something a try.

How about everyone play the game before judging it as garbage?
Wouldn’t that be more in the spirit of a fighting game community?
Not anymore, this is elitist country ever since fighting games became niche.
That and a lot of newer games are emasculating or too far away to play.
Not too thrilled about the apparent lack of signature special moves that have become the staple of the SS characters, but I’ll give it a shot anyway.
That juggle system looks pretty fun.
I thought you formed oppinions first, and confirm later.
no?
Most of the people I know, who’ve actually played the game, are able to cite it off as being “nothing special”.
I can see it selling in the States, especially since it does more to make peeps, like the infamous “Abster”, happy, due to the amounts of blood and gore that will be a part of the US release. But beyond that, I can’t see it really doing much else.
It could be good for people that want a 3D weapons fighter but aren’t down with Soul Calibur.
EDIT: I wanna play this.
It doesn’t look much like Samurai Showdown, but it does look pretty fun.
If/when it comes out on 360, i’ll probably pick it up if for no other reason than to throw in my evergrowing stack of fighting games.
That was a pretty awesome match.
Any matches of the dude with the rifle?
after watching the few videos i could find it looks like they kept everyones special moves
damn. this game was out? since april? didn’t know.
so, you just got to fill the roster w/ Mario and friends to get people playing it?
The game has decapitations, and if SNK USA don’t fuck up the PS3/360 port it could sell well.
…and alter, Tekken doesn’t have a hit counter either. Heck the only time I ever saw a hit counter in Tekken was in Training mode.
How hilarious would it be if the game that the community spits on turns out to be SNK’s best selling game in America EVER…while the legendary KOF 98: UM only sells meh…
Go Team America!
Yeah but you know what wasn’t in that video? A BIRD!!! WHERE IS THE BIRD?!?!
I gotta say, the gameplay looks pretty boring; but perhaps it plays better than what’s shown here. Still, looks like its mixed some SS mechanics with the Tekken structure and I’m not too thrilled about that.
Besides, I still haven’t had my fill of Tenka yet.
