Samurai Shodown Anthology

Bet on 6. That way if by some miracle it DOES contain all 7, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Otherwise, it’ll just be what you expected.

I pre-ordered mine early last month. But I’m not betting on it actually being shipped, because nowhere else has the game listed. :frowning:

Indeed. Plus, you don’t have to worry about any load times either.

Probably get this on the Wii, since the KOF:OS worked just fine there.

What is the Final date for it…I heard March 10th, 28th & April 7th

The SSA will be great to have. I’m looking to get it come the 10th or whenever this week. but yet I have made the games from using the M.U.G.E.N. Anyone looking to get the KOF XII?

This is FINALLY coming out? Best news I’ve heard in a while.

Do you guys think there will be any major differences between the Wii and the PS2 version? I’d assume the PS2 version would be a bit cheaper, but I also feel the urge to pad out my Wii library…

WTF are they doing, seriously? They need to go back to AOF/FF/WH Anthology ways. Those were basically perfect. 6 Games in one disk, especially RAM taxing neogeo games don’t work in PS2. I am honestly only getting the pack for SS6 because I was lucky enough to experience SSV/SP in arcade. Hell I can go there again whenever I want. Good thing I checked up on you guys though, good looking out. I may still be able to cancel my amazon preorder.

That’s what they should have done in the first place. That is why I got Rokuban Shoubu instead. I would whether pay the extra money and get near arcade perfect ports, than pay less and get a collection with questionable emulation.

Densetsu:

Does not compute. For one, disc space has nothing to do with RAM, and second, for the PS2, the Neogeo games are far from RAM taxing. If there’s a problem with their translations, it’s because the people who did the translating did a shit job, not that the system can’t handle the games. That shit excuse went out of style with the DC…

so, is the game still slated for release today? Never mind, I see it’s April 7th now…

Coming up as March 12th for me, even though Amazon says it won’t ship until the 16th for some reason…

Looks like it’s finally in stock, even though it’s back ordered for the next 2-4 weeks, mine is suppose to ship on the 16th…

I cant wait to cut people down!

In typical SNK fashion, this game has been pushed back on Amazon until March 24th. But going by their recent history of releases, I wouldn’t be surprised if SSA got pushed back all the way until April or even May.

Since KOF98UM was just released in the US, they’ll probably wait about another month or so until they release their next game. The last time that they released two fighting games around the same time was back in 2007 when KOFXI and NGBC were scheduled to be released during the same month. SNK pushed back NGBC’s release from November until December.

that’s gay… I’ve been stoked about this too :’(

Maybe SNK takes their time to recolor all blood green, to censor all dismemberments, and to remove netplay feature ^^

Oh boi, Spinach Shodown Anthology!

O____O OH MAI GAWD!!!

I really do tire of SNK’s bullshittery on this kind of stuff. That and the fact I can never find any of there games. The Walmart by my house shut down so I go to Gamestop to preorder the game. They say it isnt in their system. I say it will probably be released at 20 bucks. They say budget games don’t allow for preorders and that they drag their feet when stocking them. I say ok but check anyways when '98 UM came out. Closest store to have the game in the Philadelphia area was 150 miles away. Fine I cant get the game I think but I do know that amazon carries this stuff. I preorder Sam Sho Anth and some other music and books I feel like getting. Sam Sho is delayed and my whole shipment too.

This makes me a sad monster.

SNK is on anti-piracy campaign => They stop distributing their games so those games dont get in hands of pirates, lol. J/k. But really, everyone seems to find their Samurai Shodown games on the net, for example most of 2D ones are played at 2dfighter.com online service. If I want to slash someone, I just go there and click “Play” button ^^.
EDIT: I waited SS Anthology for english version of SS6, but recently I saw some screenshots with translations and those had more engRish than SS2 had. It was really like very bad machine translation, and I was like “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!” and now I need SS Anthology only for those 16 re-voiced SS6 characters, because text part of game has no use whatsoever, If I need to read someone’s storyline or ending those are on japanese sites already so I can just translate them. Did I mentioned that except awful translation, SNK also did great economy on amount of text? (its all super shortened with big chunks of info that was in original japanese version being left out from translation)

While we are waiting for the USA release, anybody play the PAL release that can give us a review? Just wondering how it stacks up to the Rokuban Shoubu port…
