ABout shizu and kusgedo, i dotn think they are the two best. ukyo and genjuro are just as good as them. To use shizumaru at top level you have to master everything. timming.input and stay dead calm. If you just throw shizu high priority moves out you will not beat high level players.

Kusgedo is pretty unstopable, you gota just bait his grab and punish. Or always be aware of his grab. But you gota have really good timming. Like i would say kusgedo is about timming and nothing else. If you are really good with him you dont need to block that often.

genjuro really got tonned down in ss6. He is crazy weak and he lost his overhead kick. I use him in ss6 i would say he is alot of fun though.

samurai shodown community needs a new good samsho bad. if ss6 had been released in america on time with advertisement it would have done ok. SS6 is a really good game. It just needs suicide. There are situations where you end up just letting poeple kill you so you can gain issen. And then your oppoent picks up on this and both of you just stop fighting. This happens alot more then you would think.

New ss needs to be like ssf4 no joke. sen is garbage. snk stoped caring about samurai shodown after ss6 thats how i feel.

It shouldn’t even be 2.5d, it should be pure 2d just like KOFXIII.

Hahaha, if you think SNKP has the time (5-6 years) and most importantly resources and money to launch another such project, go on. In my opinion they can make it 2.5D since they already made a good 2.5D samsho (Asura Zanmaden), and the use of 3D models allowed for wider selection of normals per char, different costumes for Shura/Rasetsu versions of characters, and cinematic camera angles during supers.

Don’t worry about Shroud, he’s kinda like SRK’s equivalent to Tommy Wiseau (youtube him).

I think another SS game may happen if KOF13 does really well. But there’s just as much of a chance that SNKP will go bankrupt or just making Pachinko machines full time.

I’d like to see another one in 3D but with 2D gameplay.

Also, just posting this here: Rasetsumaru can do crB into his Head Butt, and it’s safe. you can’t punish the crB.

Couldn’t find the 5SP thread (except the one that’s 6 years old). Hopefully this will end up as detailed as the VSav wiki.

I had a question, which version of SSA is the best?

Obviously I’m talking about which one has the best port from the arcades, I had heard that the PSP version isn’t good

Why would you play on the psp version anyways

As a followup, I’ve been working on this wiki. I did the basic page layout for all the characters, the mechanics page, and have basically finished the Yoshitora page and will be going through the others, probably adding up a char every few days, maybe hurrying up and fixing up the frame data for everyone early.

Oh yeah, pockets did Tam Tam’s page and it’s hilarious.

Seems I’m able to play on GGPO now, though I can’t see chat. Minor casualty, really. Who needs more communication than coin mash? So I’ll be playing more now.

Are you using the experimental blitter? If I remember correctly, that doesn’t allow you to see chat.

Yeah, no choice. There’s a bug that causes it to crash with the normal blitter in Linux. Since I don’t have Windows anymore, that’s a problem, haha.

Have to do some other stuff too, it’s really obnoxious. And it’s just this game, ST/KoF are fine. Weird shit. Either way, works now, and I’m probably better off without the chat anyway.

I’d also still like a front page image that is actually official artwork of Special and not vanilla.

I’ve got to get myself this collection. I remember playing the old SamSho on the MVS cabinets. I’m really looking forward to playing the newer ones like SS 5/6 for the first time.

Anything I should know before I buy?

Thanks for the updates. One thing that may wanna be mentioned Basara’s page is the ability of his j. 2C being able to bouce off of projectiles.
