Samurai Shodown Anthology

Fuck this collection because they fixed GENAN!! :wasted:  As I found out at FR12.

Unless the site itself is having a problem, I never double-post. I’ve gone back some 5 pages (incidentally, you can choose how many posts are displayed per page, so telling me a page number really doesn’t help at all. We’re on different display settings) and I don’t see what you’re talking about, dude…I’ll choose to give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you’re seeing my post quoted by another member right after I made the original post. As far as I know, multiquotes are for adressing sequencial posts made by other members, or if you feel like addressing multiple posters with your response. I use separate posts to address different posters on separate matters so people won’t skim over and miss a question/comment I address specifically to them…cuz you know people have a problem with reading and attention spans these days. Double-posting is when you post the same exact shit more than one time, usually due to a bad connection, mis-timed manual screen refresh, or a site problem. That is different from what I do.

What game and how?

^^And you did it again…

These posts are one after another. Must be your settings like you say.

EDIT: Anyone know of any emulation problems with this collection yet? 'Cause I’m getting this over the weekend and don’t want to look like a fool on campus once I bring it over.

Dude…that isn’t double-posting. Looks like you’re a noob in more areas than kof. As I said before, double posting is posting the same EXACT message more than one time (rephrasing the same message for posters who don’t get what you’re trying to say doesn’t count) in a thread, and it usually occurs when the site glitches or you have a connection problem. Now please, I have a cat trying to sleep on my lap, and with you on my nuts, there really isn’t room for him to curl up without digging his claws in.

You’re better off just editing your original message than putting two posts back to back. Call it what you will, if you want to get all technical, it’s still stupid. BTW, chill out, you’re getting offended for no reason at all.

EDIT: Reason being that I’m calling this out is that you get crap like this at the end of the page. http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=185603&page=2

I’m putting you on my ignore list, problem solved.

There you go. I’m not getting technical, I am not double posting. I’m sorry if you don’t like what I’m doing, but I am well within the rules of this, and many other messageboards. As for the nut-riding comment, I am quite calm, and used my cat as a humorous point as a friendly “get over it”. So it peeves you. As long as it’s not breaking any rules, nobody cares. They may not like it at Gamefaqs, but guess what? You aren’t in Kansas anymore, Dorothy.

Now back to the thread: I always had trouble beating Charlotte, who, despite her lack of specials, has a freakin’ KILLER defense and range in Samsho 1 and 2. Any tips? And is it just me or is her throw range WAY better than other characters? It’s like she has Zangief’s spd range or something.

Still having trouble playing as the EX characters on the Wii version. Do I have to beat it, cause I though everything’s unlocked from the start?

That’s an interesting tier list. I surely agree with Bust Haohmaru being better than Slash etc. But I also don’t see how Slash Rimu is mid tier. They must ban the infinite comboes because if Rimu had access to her infinite combo she’d easily be top tier. I wonder what is the basis of their rules. Also I thought about Bust Galford last night and yes he’s very very good.

I also don’t understand how regular Haohmaru is low tier.

All he needs is one grab then he can take off 60% easy without supers + he has a 99% in the corner… Bust Haohmaru can do 80-90% with his super and its better than Slash Haohs by far.

I say all this because I only use tier lists as a reference. I also know that tier lists are different in different countries due to different styles, different usage of characters, different exploits etc so I’m not taking that tier list as gold, I agree with a lot of it, but some stuff I disagree with.

Also how can Slash Nako be better than Slash Rimu? Only way I can see is if they are banning infinites. If they are allowing infinites no way possible Slash Nako is better than Slash Rimu. Nako can land her infinite only in certain situations (Bird has to land and vs. certain characters on a back throw etc) and always in the corner, but Rimu can land it anywhere… If they are banning infinites I can see Bust Haoh being the best character in the game EASILY…His links to super are too good. But with infinites I don’t feel he’s the best character in the game.

See my vid here this explains a lot of this:

Do NOT subscribe to that channel people. I only post vids on the DarkGeese channel now.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAAHHAH!!!

“I call shenanigans!”

Sam Sho II Gen an is fixed, he doesnt have mad frame advantage anymore so hes not as good as OG Sam Sho II. Just like Sokaku’s Glitch in RBS is fixed in the Real Bout Collection, he’s not as good as RBS OG Neo Geo Sokaku but still top tier.

Rhio2k- I’ll get back to you with Charlotte tips, about to go record some Sam Sho matches in like 20 minutes.

So is this a good port of the games?

or like orochi is the japanese collection better?

After a bit of comparison I think screen type B turns the soft filter off & it might be the reason it zooms slightly from no compression.

The end of the Crappy Mad Catz controller! Me and my friend have successfully modded My broken Ps2 Saturn pad with PS3 parts, thus no more using the Mad Catz controller from this point forward! Back to KOF and other stuff like usual the next time me and Gualberto play!!!

Black Shroud, The thing that probably wasn?t used against you is the fact that some jumping Cs can stop Bust Ukyos super cold so keep that in mind. This is just me screwing around with that tactic btw lol.

Now that a modded PS2 Saturn Pad with PS3 parts is in my possession I assure you more will be coming guys, and I’ll be about 20x sharper than I was in those videos due to the pad.

:woot::clapdos:

Glad to see you got that Saturn pad.

I told you they were sexy.

Yes if you check the Video Gallery I have a vid with how it was completed and how anyone else can do it if they have at least one PS2 Saturn pad.

I was practicing some stuff with SSV version Yoshitora on SS6 last night. I tried some stuff with his QCF+MA. I tried to see if he could do the infinite…nope he can’t. To make things interesting while practicing, I record the opponent to run then do Strong Slash. Here are the combos I did on CH (all combos where done on Haohmaru in Ken spirit):

CH QCF+B, B xx Super
This did about 25% damage or so.

This combo is done only on Rei Spirit (Meditation was set to 100%, damage in the combo will vary based on how much was meditated):

CH QCF+B x2, D+E, B, j.C (now behind opponent), QCF+B x5-7, Issen
This combo did somewhere between 80%-90% damage. Ouch man, Rei SSV Yoshitora is a beast!

Yeah there are a lot of gems in this game that are undiscovered. If people would explore this game in its entirety you will find out just how deep it is. Like for example most of the time people have Charlotte as B Class, however with Do Groove she’s pretty much A class, so there’s a lot of potential in this game and it’d be a shame to waste…

-DG

As long as it lacks netplay, it would be wasted though, because without serious competition you can explore game only so-so

Why would you care about netplay, Black Shroud?

You hate SS6

But on that subject, didn’t the standalone NTSC-J Tenka have network capability? Can’t remember…

It has. It works only if your console is located in Japan and is connected to Japanese network though.

On a side note: I updated my site

It’ll get netplay eventually, and I cannot wait when it does.
