I think the most conspicuous non truth in this thread is that Cen was about to knock out Jiggabry, which could never happen in any realm of possibility ever. As for the rest, I wasn’t there but sounds like the truth lies somewhere in the middle, but regardless something fucked up was happening, ignoring if it was intentional or not.
EDIT: Even if Saamir did cheat, don’t blame all of Canada, pretty much every Canadian gamer I’ve met has been cool as shit.
Well it sounds like at future evo events mem cards should be banned and before every match go back to ae/3s select to default the settings. Then allow 1 round to configure buttons, since it seems like most players will want to verify mem card settings for every match.

if one person is willing to cheat to gain the an advantage, its only a matter of time before some other players figure out something else. Even though alot of street fighter players are willing to play fair, when theres money on the line, it can really change things. Theres gotta be some type of precaution that has to be taken so something like this won’t happen again. Maybe before every set, make it mandatory to go to options and hit default?
i’m sure this isn’t the first time someone tried to cheat to win either. Hell, he could of gotten away with this before and this is just the first time he got caught.

However, like I said before, I did see someone fucking around in extra options, alone, near the H2H setup (I can’t remember if it was the H2H setup itself or the TV left of it) I was playing casuals at the TV beside it. Note that I cannot say it was Samir there, because I simply glanced at the TV for about four seconds between my match. The damage options WERE changed, but by who I’m not positive, I’d rather not trust my memory to pinpoint an image of the person, I only remember an average heighted, either middle eastern or spanish fellow, that’s IT, it could have been any of the 100+ guys that already fit that description there. He wasn’t black or white, or really tall, anything else I say about the description would probably be a lie. This also is of course, not enough evidence to prove anything at all.
I think the title “Canada, the cheaters” is a pretty good start towards putting down ALL Canadian players.
