super salty at how damn hard it is to beat a cerebella as filia
So far the game is a blast. But as for my early complaints:
Cerebella does WAAAY too much damage too easily.
Any time I run into someone online who can compete with me 90% of the matches end with a time out, neither of us can do enough damage in one combo unless we have cerebella on our teams.
Marie on the hardest difficulty seems impossible in her third form. I get one super in and then I’m stun locked and chipped to death.
Some assists are godlike lol.
Most of this will be fine once I find some real damaging combos.
She is a really wasy character to use. But once people start figuring her out I don’t think she’ll end up all that amazing IMO
So you’re saying you want 100% of the matches to end with a time out?
I like this setup for them: Parasoul (B, F HK) / Peacock (QCF + HK). Reason I like those assists + setup is that Parasoul can build meter for Peacock’s super, plus Parasoul’s assist is projectile invincible so it’s good versus projectile wars and sets up Peacock’s beam super easy.
my solo Cerebella, vs Valentine/Cerebella. His whole gameplan was green shot, and if valentine gets touched, switch and spam jump-back while regening.
I’m just salty at myself for letting it work as much as it did. If it was Val and any other char it wouldn’t irritate me at all since the m.o. vs grapplers is run away…
but when he has one too, I can’t respect it. Play the game as it should be. >_<
Got my first rage quitter just now. DC’d RIGHT when the game winning sniper shot was about to end the round. I was actually kind of impressed with the timing.
This, I was surprised to not see it mentioned before.
Try to stay in the air if you can. Cerebella seems much more manageable when you’re not one super away from massive damage.
There’s only one thing to make me salty. No, not online. No, not solo teams. No, not the AI for arcade or story mode battles.
It’s the goddamn AI for the final boss. I tried to beat story mode again with Fortune, which I was able to yesterday, and was vehemently denied over 10 times today. I literally hit the Give Up button. Turns out it just takes you to the main menu.
Did the boss REALLY need infinite armor? REALLY? And BTW, Ms. Fortune can basically never use her HP attacks EVER against the boss. Every other goddamn projectile in the game hits Fortune’s head and loses the hitbox. But NO, none of the boss’s projectiles do that. Fuck skulls.
Time outs can be fun but I would prefer them to be rare. I think around 40 of my last 50 games were timeouts. That sucks lol.
All my combos start with around 7-10 hits and finish with a super(or whatever the special attacks are called) and it only does around 1/5 or 1/4 of their HP bar, 3 on 3 characters. Cerebella manages around 1/2 or more of your HP per combo. Sometimes that combo is just a grab to a super, 2 moves. Kind of reminds me of Sentinel in MvC3. At first he seems like he does too much damage for too little effort, but once you learn the game better he becomes much less scary.
3 on 2 feels like their characters have infinite HP. No matter how many combos I get off they don’t die lol.
This game needs more jazzy swing music.

Doing infinites by mistake makes me salty, fortunately people don’t have the know how to punish them yet, infact I don’t even know how you punish infinites. I assumed it would be automatic.

any otg into car super sucks. getting around the damn gun shot has a nigga scared like i’m playing megaman and afraid so i have to inch forward then step back only to inch forward again.
you can’t jump in at all. can’t neutral jump. you have to wave dash, stop, wave dash, stop, repeat.

Marie can be fucked relentlessly in the butt by XFC 3 Wesker for all I care. I HATE THAT BITCH.
