after receiving the message slash sent out i decided that it was time the 4 or 6 of us in salem got together.
carpooling up to portland every now and again would be nice and everything but i think its time we get something going in salem every week. to have all the heads in salem meet up, play, discuss and everything that goes along with that. so this is my attempt that will hopefully spark something in the near future.
besides the 4 of us that actually post in the PNW threads i personally know some people who dont dont post in here that live in salem who can hold their weight and then some.
every now and again ill meet up with holyrobot online and we will play ft30 or something along those lines and I’ve been trying to help him out via the xbox mic. there is some visible progress being made by him and i think if we had everybody in salem doing something like this we could all level up and get better.
we could plan this on a night where Portland isn’t hosting anything (hopefully a friday/saturday night) so any of you that like going up to p town could still make that trip and all that good stuff.
so my proposal is that we all start communicating and pool together ideas/resources/what have you to get something up and running. i know i am coming up with all kinds of ideas and im not offering anything myself, but if i had a place that this could take place at i would be more than happy to invite you all over for some games.
i do have an xbox and a copy of SF4 that i could lug around for a night though.
come on Jetay show em some love, man more power to you guys id be hyped if i heard of shit going down in Salem. feel free to post and use the Oregon thread too, thats what we made it for. Anyone that has the drive to strengthen the community in their town is more then welcome to help mod that thread and integrate more Salem info which we definitely need.
While i agree with Ronnicle and would be on board for anything going on in salem because i hate having to drive up to portland, but Jetay is right that we dont need a thread for four people. The oregon discussion thread would have probably been the best place for it.
