actually what happens when a normal like his c.lk and a throw become active at the same time?

I’ve actually used ex. uppercut against bison players pretty successfully. Sparingly but successfully. Couple of days ago, played a bison who would ex. psycho to get out of jump fierce (insert blockstring). So I would jump fierce, st. jab, cr. jab pause for a frame or two and he’d ex psycho to get out and my ex. uppercut beats it clean.

this may have just been unique to the bison player i played against so idk

Found something that should make the Akuma matchup a little easier, if Akuma jumps towards you in DP range. Always use MP DP because if he air fireballs, the DP will go right under it and beat the jump in cleanly. Attempting to juggle him from LP DP to HP DP will trade or get beat.

Been playing Saks a little on the side again lately. This is probably known but I was messing around in training mode and found that any jump in, lets say: mp.srk, j.hk (OS s.hk) will beat Rose her wakeup reversals.

Does Dudley ex counter beat the corner setups?

New Oni setup
Nj.HP > dash > j.HP/MP

back jump dash j.hp/mk also works on oni. It’s probably my go to setup since it works on like half the cast or something.

lol yeah, if I can’t remember a particular character’s setup, I just try that one.

So what’s the best way to approach the Dhalsim match up? I just can’t seem to find a proper strategy that works. Usually I have the most success when I just take insane risks and hope for the best, but this isn’t exactly a viable strategy in the long run.

J.hp beats close at the right angle, j.hk beats st.mk aa, j.lp beats knee.
Focus and take it slow, take your time you got 99seconds.
C.mp buffer hp.shouken outisde st.lk range if he throws it your in.
J.tatsu is good if he dosent k ow he has to use j.lp/mp mid air to counter it.

You can do 3fierce combo on him for maxi.um dmg from focus i belive it misses sometimes.

Dont let him escape c.lp os shouken is hard but a good option or just react to teleports with hp.srk theyre quite slow.
Your trap game and pressure has to be on point.
Thers some os with c.lp tatsu ultra 1 that will cathch everything i think.

About the c.lp tatsu ultra 1 os, what exactly is supposed to happen? I was trying it out the other day, but not sure which moves are supposed to come out. For instance, is tatsu supposed to come out on block and ultra 1 on backdash/teleport?

Everytime you see dhalsim teleport midscreen, cr. Hp will beat him trying to get in. Also cr. Hp beats his air normals so don’t let him get away with those shenanigans. Another common tactic Dhalsim players use are instant air overheads with his stretched limps, be ready to block it especially after he locks you down with his super.

A shenanigan I use against Dhalsim is standing at the edge of his st. Hp (stretched) range and level 3 focusing his fireball. Most dhalsims have the habit of doing Hp, fireball, hp, fireball, etc so the focus will grant you a free crumple. You can then dash I’m twice and get a free combo and land dat joocy hard knockdown. Its just a shenanigan so only do it once rofl

already posted while back but throw jump over c.mp is meaty but do it with st.mp istead gives you +3 r +4 frames for more stuff and he cant do shit! except devils return or backdash = OS srk or someshit i need to see if i can CH combo anything nice from there aswell
