The cross up dive kick is most practical off a back throw, from what I’ve heard. Maybe it’s only doable off back throw? But with Sak’s hurt box, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s straight up impossible.

It’s easily doable from backthrow, hooligan and c.hk.
It’s possible on certain characters after spiral too, but the timing is more difficult.
Hey guys, could you give me some pointers against good Fei Longs? I loose a lot against him, and i got pretty demoralized. It seems that i can’t do anything on the ground. His pokes and those goddamn rekkas are too strong. I have to get lucky, and thats not a solid gameplan. And he can DP me out of any setups because of that nonsense shortcut. After a knockdown, it’s easier, but getting that knockdown… it’s a different story. I can’t punish anything and that last rekka counter hit setup is just dumb. I have to kill him in two combos or he destroys me with his footsies and corner pressure. So, any tips? It would be appreciated.
Neutral jump is so good in that matchup… and make sure to throw fireballs not too often for chip and to bait out his chicken wing which you can crHP… well I do… if you’re confident and know your distances you can focus the last hit, fash forward and crLK > combo to punish them… but yeah… if he’s rekka happy then neutral jump is so good against fei long…
Also use crMK buffer at the correct distances…
Frankly, I really don’t like pressing cr. mk unless i know it’s going to hit in that matchup. Fei can whiff punish it so easily.
if im right, j.hp will make fei’s uppercut wiff on wakeup (then again its hard enough to get a knockdown on a good fei) also you should try poking him with sakura s.hk, well thats my idea anyway
Yea, safe jumping Fei Long’s uppercuts is extremely easy but that’s the problem with good fei long’s… knocking them down is close to impossible…
Well if according to Deebs they can whiff punish crMK so easily then I doubt sHK’s a good idea…

But in all seriousness I’d consider watching Uryo/HumanBomb/Danhiru/Juso vs a good Fei Long
knowing the rekka range is the most important thing in the match, and trying to stay away from it. Rekkas changed in 2012 to where even the first one is -4 (on block), so if you’re gonna walk, walk forward to walk close so you can punish a blocked rekka, or far away so u can whiff punish it (or neutral jump). Also i’d try to stay away from the tatsus (specifically the air ones) to get in unless you do it really really high as the upper beats a lot of them. There are enough unblockables/fake crossups on fei to where he should be screwed once u get the hit. I think this match just involves a lot of walking into the right range and waiting for him to do stuff, as his pokes do really well against Sak’s.

St.hk is aleays a good poke vs all since it usaly beats everything so use that vs his pokes from time to yime
whiff punish his c.mp dont get it on guard cause then he cancels it too hands and becommes safe
His c.hk might you be able to reversal on block even but be sure to punish it if missed cause its 22 recovery
st.lk might be a viable poke vs his lk or mk aswell

nope doesnt work, the range of mp shouoken isnt as good as rekka, which is surprising because I thought it was the other way around
