Seriously, where are the mods in this forum. This is getting unacceptable. Quinton, however way you put it, it’s not okay to use such words in a forum. Especially one like this. Yes, it’s a fighting game forum but it is supposed to educate players both young and grown and you exhibit certain behaviors that can’t be tolerated here to the younger audience. It’s very easy to support an argument or propose an idea without using unnecessary cusses or insults. You are not the best Sakura in the world, in fact nobody here is including my self. We are just here to learn but people like you just slow progress.

Actually just reading this page I can see that you are being a problem. Just talk about Rose and other match ups without insulting/flaming bad language or comparing things to completely random non FG stuff.

And if you have a problem with someone discuss it with them via PM.

I have a pretty hard time with Adon. I can never AA his jaguar kick (I think? The flip kick that’s safe unless it’s the lk on, which is -3usually so a frame perfect jab into w/e link to punish, but they don’t do lk too frequently.) I know CR.fp can beat it but even when I try on reaction I get counter hit. It appears as though you need to predict it. If they sniff it out and you whiff a CR.fp, you are not happy either, that’s gonna hurt. Maybe I’m missing something obvious, but safe chip on Sakura that creates spacing favoring the opponent seems rough, I.e. Bison lk scissors also.

I think Honda deserves to be in that list or maybe I’m just tripping

You can nj.mk his jaguar kick. Once you hit him, you can also link into a combo.

Honda is easy (at least for me). Honda is a charge character. So, you can neutralize his charge by performing a lot of cross-ups. Its easy to perform cross-ups on him because he has a hurt box behind his head that’s the size of Miami! Your cross-up can neutralize almost everything he can do on wake up. If he doesn’t hit him, then it’ll at least put you in a safe spot.

I love how months ago I checked up on the board and people were going in on Quinton being a ridiculous know-nothing. Only to return to the same nonsense. Why? Avoid this nonsense and just goto IRC people.

You can’t combo off nj.mk

He still can buttslam your crossups, as he only needs a down charge and the buttslam and the ex headbutt can auto-correct too

Haven’t played this since vanilla, and I’m glad I can still beat 90% of online players by only using c.hp.

Now, it’s true you can hit in while he’s air borne, but it’s very difficult to do. It’s best to hit him with MK after he lands because the recovery of a missed jaguar kick is very slow.

Against Bison: After a lk scissors you can cr.mk xx HP sho and if he tries another lk scissors, St.mk, or St.rh you’ll beat it’s startup
I find St.jab buffer HP sho good versus his St.mk and St.RH pokes. If he likes to harass you with those, you can counter poke him well without risking getting blown up by scissors or psycho crusher.
Also, when you get him to the corner, use the third hit of otoshi to put yourself in the corner, then lk tatsu over his body to throw off his back charge, leaving him with only devil’s reverse and to, both of which should be easily punishable on reaction.

Is this forum still actively updating the match up notes? Reason I ask is because I didn’t find any tips on the Oni or Yang match ups :frowning: … So far this thread alone has helped my game immensely and I wouldn’t mind sharing any strats I may come across despite the fact that they will probably be extremely obvious and or borderline useless to most people on here. xD

Oni… mid range battle revolves around his f.fp,which gets stuffed by c.mk, and his f.mk, which destroys c.mk. theyhave different uses for Oni so you jus have to get used to them. dont challenge his normal anti airs like you can vs some characters, hi stand and crouch fp are both strong. his regular fireball sucks so stand at the range where yoiu can jump over it. use setups that juke dps, remember he cant fadc on block so you can bait it. be patient cuz hus punish combos hurt if he has two bars.

most ofyour combo opportunities will be as a punish oir by correctly predicting one of his slower footsie normals and landing a jumpin. j.hk is better than j.fp for that purpose. be careful in midrange as he can convert damage off his step kick on counterhit. dont fall for stupid air dash tatsus and dont let him aa dp you when he has super LOL

I always found j.HP better as it would stuff his AA normals frequently. A lot of his command normals are pretty solid. F.mk f.lk f.HP all examples of that. Crossup HP is also somewhat easier due to his wider hotbox.
