Sakura Ganbaru! Vol. 2 Spoiler and Discussion Thread

Just finished reading it and I have to admit I enjoyed it much better now then when I just had a storyline description to go along with the Japanese volume that I couldn’t read lol! Gen and Zangief stole the entire story IMHO, his depiction of those two characters was just awesome. Sagat, Dan, Chun-Li, Cammy, Ryu, Ken, man everyone was written well including Sakura!

I loved how Gen’s story forshadowed his upcoming fight with Gouki and Dan throwing away the note he gave to Sakura is even hinting at his death, brilliant! Course I don’t know if Masahiko Nakahira knew that far ahead what was going to happen but it was still very good!

No bonus manga this time around but they do have an ad for Ryu Final which they are claiming will come out in December, oh please oh PLEASE make it so…

Loved Omar Dogan’s cover man! :woot:

I suppose that’s it from me. Go get it and discuss.

A little too wordy on Gen’s ansatsuken thoughts concerning Sakura, and I would’ve preferred some romanization for Zangief’s Russian lines, but otherwise great read. Can’t wait for Ryu Final.

I just can’t get over how well drawn it is. The way he draws hands is superior. Dan looked awesome as did Gen and Zangief. I read once for enjoyment of the story, next comes review of the form.

Uh…mine’s a lil fucked up. During the Zangief fight when Cammy’s about to ask Sakura for help, they repeated the page where Gen got his wrist burned by the Shou’ouken. WTF, Udon?

Sorry to hear that man, just can’t get a break can you.

Never mind what I said. You have every right to say WTF. And it’s worse.

I thought that was a flashback.

Yeah it’s a mistake, all the books have it. You’re not missing anything though, on the following page it gets right back to the story, so they didn’t skip any pages.

Actually you were right from the very beginning Rhio2k. My bad entirely.:wasted::wasted: Like sano said, it’s a mistake in all the books.

But unfortunately, sano’s not entirely correct either. Not only did they reprint the same page, but they did leave an entire page out, it was supposed to be two pages before the reprinted one. I didn’t realize it until I just checked my original copies, but it’s true. Hope Udon will rectify this somehow, and I also hope it didn’t happen to Ryu Final #1.

Really? Wow. I figured they didn’t skip much since the dialog flowed the same. Guess I’ll check the original copy too when I get around to it…
