Consulate-General of Japan is Booth # 237; I’ll be there from around 1pm on Sunday. But I guess there’ll be some JET/Consulate people at a panel on Saturday morning as well.
I’ll try to scout around the con a little bit when I have the time, but should be at the booth for at least 50% of the time I’m there. Otherwise, I’ll probably be at nearby booths or gaming areas.
My DS is almost completely broken at this point. I may have to get a new one… Etrian Odyssey III just came out in Japan, after all(!). But in the meantime, I have no pokemons to trade/battle with, so please don’t be disappointed.

CBK got first, I got second and I’m not sure who took 3rd, 4th and 5th in the tournament.
Ok, so Im raging so hard about how poorly the tournament was ran. So, first off, pools were pretty huge at first. I think about 30-40 people each. But since he didn’t explain that you had to play 5 matches first against anyone you choose then report your record and move up based on that, people lost one then left the area I got DQ’d. Then he told people to come back in 15 minutes and started the tournament again in about 10. SO more people got dq’d. Then apparently there was a dude who was telling the director to keep moving around the bracket because apparently you can “request” not to play against someone and get moved. So this guy’s friend comes up to me and says “man my friend in the tournament has been requesting not to play you and managed to avoid you until semi finals because he made 3 requests to get moved” 
THEN, first place only got 50 points and second place got 10 while Blazblu got payed a ton more (first got 100)
However, the 10 point wall was so much better than the 50 point wall. $10 Zanadu comics coupons! Hell yes!

Everybody going to sakura con for sf4 go to gameworks instead.
Theres the last years winner from sakura-con and myself. (Trust me he’s good)
Last year he got around 70 wins on the free sf4 cabinet at sakura-con until he got tired.
So make sure to bring any of your friends that like sf4 because the 2 of us there wasn’t so fun.
Oh yeah, and if anybody can tell me about Tournament Wars for today that’d be great…

Hey guys going to Sakura-con today, was there anything exclusive/cool to buy from the booth? Sakura-con is the Seattle Convention right, just like Comic-con?
Seattle convention, yes la doodly doo.
There’s a really cool but overyly pricey retro game stand called “Pink Gorilla”.
Nice things there for the rich classic gamer.
The convention is less gamer related and more anime.
Otherwise theres all the nerdorific stands such as manga, anime, music, ect.
Have a good time and try not to jizz too hard with nerdgasm.

CBK is a good Gief player from Reno. And yes, the tournament was a joke - so poorly ran by people who didn’t know wtf they were doing. I expected the same sort of competence as from the PAX tournament last year, but forgot that Zig is the fucking man and he knows how to run shit.
Holy monkey flip, we waited in line for over 4hours at the registration. Wanted to check out the dealer shop & was told it was going to close at 6:00pm…By the time i got to the registration it was 5:45…I was freaken pissed. So i was like no i dont want to buy the ticket for Sat, i wont have time. I’ll just buy for Sunday, they were like oh we cant sell them today. We get our badges for Sunday tomorrow, come back then.:annoy::wasted:
Just got back from Anime Boston. Took 2nd in T6… GansterOfLuv (Really good Steve… henceforth known as Nelson) sent me to losers, where I beat everyone else, won the first finals set against Nelson, and then lost the second set. =/
After that we had a team tourney, Nelson, me, and David (Bryan player) were Team Free (fray?), which proved true. My Mokujin didn’t lose a single match (maybe a couple of rounds?), used Lee in the finals and ran 12 straight rounds I think (one of their members left, so that was it).
In total, I ended with $52 between 2nd and the team tourney 1st, and I am supposedly getting some of my registration fee back (all of it? part of it?) because I was one of the I AM TEKKEN panelists, too. If I get my full reg fee back, that’ll mean I’m coming out of the con up $102… not bad. =)
Some money matches went down yesterday against CBK:

CBK vs. Frankdadank 2 out of 3 for $5 Frankdadank wins 2-1
CBK vs. Thai Vega 1 game for $10 Thai Vega wins.
It was cool meeting CBK, solid Geif with a few tricks (that back dash to ultra in the corner was pretty sweet). If you see this, let us know when you’re back in town.
