Sakura combos

Aww man… I haven’t played my team against real oppoents recently except for a few.

Still playing the most awkward team ever. Omega/Sakura/Jin

But my sakura skills are getting pretty rusty since I’ve been playing mostly omega. Haru Ichiban DHC’ed into tornado super is quite damaging and fun. I just re-discovered the classic omega cable throw up and cross over to another cable throw up.

Now my team is only good for anti-scrub battles. However, I do get the unique joy of just murdering a weak top-tier team.

I think there’s a one time cross up I can do after the Haru Ichiban. I’m “Captain Obvious” here but as I fall down I sometimes j.HK as I try to land past them.

It works sometimes for some cable-sized characters. It’s quite fun to land the shokken xx Haru Ichiban then cross-up j.HK XX shokken XX Haru Ichiban DHC Tornado super.

I still can’t land that (crazy good) stupid sent infinite in the arcade though.

Extra tip for sakura vs. magz… if you block his launcher and nothing immidately threatens you other than him do LP Shokken. Apparently either he can’t recover in time or everytime I did this properly I managed to hit him for our bread and butter Haru combo.

He can recover in time but ost time Magz will try and tri-ump which gets eaten by Shouoken’s priority, too risky to abuse IMO.

lol a team with storm will automatically have more synergy than one with IM.

I agree. Especially D. Sakura/tron…so much damage.

D. sakura with opponent in corner. If you teleport into the corner you wont switch sides with the opponent, you’ll just get pushed back to where you were. If you drop an assist you will switch sides for a nice crossup.

-launch, sj.lp, lk, lp, lk, fp, delay fk, land, slight pause, drop tron-teleport into corner. Opponent is crossed up + eats tron > whatever.

-Infinite on sent into corner, drop tron, teleport into corner, opponent gets crossed up > infinite.

-[this works sometimes] opponent blocking in corner: s.lp, s.lp xx dp lp, sakura bounces back, as soon as you land, drop tron xx teleport into corner. Opponent gets crossed up > whatever. Tron will also eat a number assist the opponent might try to bring out.

I also like D. Sakura/doom. Not as much damage as tron, but the ground cover is nice. It also does a lot of chip damage if you want to kill off that last bit of health.

Im trying to get a team of strom/[dark] sakura/tron or doom going.

Only bad thing is getting sakura in.

I can build 5 meters with storm, then LS xx DHC into sakura. then transform, but that uses up all my meter, so I’ll have to run around and build it back up. Luckily with sakura/tron 1 meter is enough. c.lk, c.lk + tron, s.fk xx hadouken xx super does way too much. If there is such a thing.

Alpha counter sakura in xx transform works, but i dont know how safe it is.

Tag in sakura after i kill a character is another option…

Using sakura on point and trying to build meter works sometimes.

oh, this is always fun. IIRC this is the combo, but dont quote me on it, i’ll have to double check:

D. Sakura: launch, sj.lp, lk, lp, lk hurricane kick, pause, fp throw, land, call doom + qcf + pp super (otg).

Its roll able, but thats one of the reasons why you drop doom. If they roll, they roll into dooms rocks and you can teleport out of there or do whatever. Also, if they dont roll and the super hits, if you get lucky dooms rocks will juggle them and you can get off another super. Due to damage scaling, its really not worth it unless it’ll kill them/they have very little health and the beams chip damage will kill them, if they happen to block it.

I always seem to have a trouble doing the resets and OTGs because good players only fall for those once.

haha, my team that ive been using for a few years is Storm/Sakura/Tronne.

But i prefer regular sakura to dark sakura cause i like meter. =P

well OTGs shouldn’t work on good players at all…I just go for supers with sak…or maybe try for some mixups after FS…utlizing her panty show. and always try to go for Hp.Throw!!!:lovin:

I think you should use Sakura first in the line. You already mentioned the whole meter deal, so you want to shuffle her around during the match, to manipulate meter. What I mean, play Sakura first (w/heavy tron whorage) build meter or cr.lk super. DHC into either Storm or Tron, and let them build meter. It actually isnt any different from your other characters just running around building meter, but you want to mask the fact that thats what youre intending to do with Sakura. Also, I think having her last at the end is best, cause dark shinku does a lot of damage, and chip damage.

other tips: Teleport w/tron level 3 super. You dont want Tron to actually hit em’, you just want them to block, then cross-over. As soon as you cross, input raging baby demon lol. The thing about this is, even if you miss, Tron is still out, which still can connect for safe recovery. Ive worked on the timing of this, and Ive done it almost immediately as she turns around.

W/Sakura and Tron: Sakura (doesnt matter what form) lp,lp, qtcb +hk w/Tron. You’ll hurrikick over to the other side, just waiting to see if they slip up and eat Tron damage. Or lp,lp (or cr. lk+2) hlfcf + lp /Tron + Midaire Zakura (rushing super).
