Sakura’s crossups are annoying, would like that altered.
Tatsu/EX Tatsu goes past/through some people when they are crouch blocking.
There’s not really a lot that highly bugs me about Sakura other than those two. I wish she had an anti-air fireball. Would also like a better alt costume, like the one posted above or [media=youtube]BDJW7SXwrno#t=0m31s[/media] - her current is too pervy :\
id say make her do more damage, just like 10 percent more and for the second ultra make it the anti air hadouken she had in MvC2. that way u can set it up and its an anti air
I agree with everyone suggestions, but there is one thing i would like to address and it might sound crazy but its worth a shot. I always wonder what made sakura so awesome and top tier in CvS2 and SFA. It wasn’t just her normals or her amusing win poses (which i would like to see make a return in HD). it was her custom combos that made her transcend so well. Now i’m not asking to put an A-groove or V-ism in sf4, but to give sakura a new ultra similiar to Yun’s Genei Jin from SF3. sakura is the type of character to be in your face applying pressure and a “custom combo” like ultra matches her playstyle so well. she is older so she must of learn some type of new technique over the years. I’m just thinking of what will make her smash the competition.
What I suggested is a HUGE change, in some ways more important than entire people’s lists. It makes a move which used to be punishable on block, give you a combo on hit. And that combo can be up to half life with mixup. It also gives her a safe chip, that does decent damage and goes through fireballs with good range, if slow startup. You would see ALOT of mk tatsu if this change was made, but it’s a fun move anyhow.
I can’t see how that’s more important than a better fireball, better normals, a better wake up option, less combo scaling etc. I get it tho, it’s similar to Akuma’s st.rh but Akuma has that plus a lot more options overall.
If Akuma’s st.Rh did chip and had the sort or range that sakura’s tastu did, as well as going over fireballs, breaking armor, and being unduckable, then they would be similar.
And I agree with you, it wouldn’t make her as good as Akuma, it would probably put her to C tier, maybe even B. And that is fine by me.
I’m not saying I want her top tier but just giving her 1 buff (though very good) wouldn’t be enough to make her a solid character. Not unless again, you’re satisfied with SF4 Sakura?
Truthfully I am for the most part, once you get in on any character you can destry them pretty fast. She just needs something for her mid game like Destin said, its really her biggest flaw. Even if she got a better fireball it wouldn’t matter much, cause no way it gonna be like Ryu, maybe ken at best if that. That’s why earlier I suggested her CvS2 fireball. It had good range AND left you at frame advantage, also knocked down, it would help her imo, but the mk tatsu idea is really good also.
I like how everyone else is listing a ton of ideas to make their mains god tier, while us Sak users are just like “meh, give her a good fb and I’m happy.” XD
I like the idea of a TK Dive kick. The threat of a overhead combo into more shit would be insanity. But speaking for it would just make the “Why dont you play Cammy” trolls come out of the woodwork.
