Sakura buffs/changes

I heard that Valle got beaten by a Sakura player on SRK. Is there a vid of this?

Better st.RH. Faster overhead. I don’t know how to tweak her fireball… I always thought Sakura had a terrible fireball in every game she’s been in? EX tatsu stands up on hit. Ultra does more raw damage, so that damage after scaling is more tolerable.

I would suggest j.MK being a crossup because that’s how she used to play. I have a hard time crossing up with j.LK, but I’ll defer to Sakura experts on that one. I guess j.LK is dangerous because it’s a lot easier to empty jump into low mixup when you’re not put in a ton of block stun with the crossup.

Sakura def needs buffs, her dp and pokes need to be stronger. If the do that they can leave fireball as is even.

Also she needs a stam buff. She has always had pretty good stam/stun. Last but not least buff her ultra damage.

The can leave cr Rh as is.

Why does everyone say she needs better dp and stronger pokes? She has never had a reversal dp normally and won’t get one and it’s strong enough as is, and she has always been weak, but strong combos. Same with her health, its usually below average. Really of all things she NEEDS is a better s.rh and better fireball. Other thing mentioned such as a cross up will make her super beastly, but truthfully she can beast as it is.

The only thing I want to change is to have her ex.shunpu not go over Akuma when he’s crouching. Its a small change, but something I’d love to have.

So basically, you want Sakura to turn into another shotoclone?

I’m a Sakura player, and I don’t really agree with anything on your list…

Isn’t it already much faster than it was in Alpha? It completely threw my timing off when I started playing SFIV.

- give JUST lp shoryuken good wake up invincibility, on par with a normal shoryuken.

Sakura doesn’t have a shoryuken. She has the Shouoken. Why do you want to change her move into a shoryuken?

- Make her fireballs not asswank. make the recovery/start up faster, and make the non charged version travel faster.

Sakura should be IN YOUR FACE all the time, not throwing fireballs around the place. Her fireball is fine the way it is for the use she has for it.

- Make her air tatsu not asswank. Make it useful for cross ups LIKE ALL OTHER TATSUS ARE.

Well, I guess so. It should have priority over any normals, that’s for sure, but it’s not bad as it is.

UGH no. Haru Ichiban has always been her most useful super if you ask me. Fireball supers make me sad. But isn’t she supposed to get it as a second super anyway?

- If she gets another ultra, make it like her uppercut super she has had in most other games, but more cinematic.

She already has that super uppercut, it’s called EX Shouoken. But I wouldn’t mind an Ultra version of that.

You know, there is another change I want for Sakura, and its not gameplay related.

You know how between rounds, the winning character shows off their win pose and talk shit? Well, howabout if Sakura dances like she did in Alpha 1 and 2? That’ll be hawt sauce!

You think a slight stamina boost is in order, considering she has two-or-three matchups at most where she trades favorably? I’m not saying she needs health like Zangief, but 25-50 more life certanly couldn’t hurt.

That very well may be a stupid question, but as nobody else was saying it, I figured I may as well take a crack at it.

She dont have below average health like Chun Li and Viper. Why do people think that?

To all yall saying sakura is fine, congrats on having sick execution. But even with the sickest of execution and skill, sakura is not a threat high lvl play more like a annoyance. Sure she can win matches and some tourneys. But she requires a great undering standing of the game and almost perfect execution.

If you have those skills, then high lvl play sakura should be as deadly as high lvl viper play. A high lvl cammy is scary, guile is a pain even. Sak, and rose… Not so much

or her other win pose where she kicks off her shoe and hits her on the head :tup:

stop trying to act like you’re the sakura know it. fact of the matter is that people have been playing sakura for years and know what to expect and not expect from this character

I have started a Capcom SSF4 Sakura Thread. Many SRK’ers have joined in to plea to Capcom. You should join in too! You will have to start a Capcom account, but many of us have, and it shows Capcom we are serious about Sakura improvements. Who wants a 16 year Sakura when she is around 20? I don’t… Voice your SMART (please be reasonable) opinions.

Then fix THEM, not her.

Fix the other braindead, overpowered characters.

Don’t fix the well balanced, thoughtful characters like Sak, Viper, and Abel.

What are you talking about? We should just sit around playing a Sakura with her 12 year old fireball when she is around 20 now? :wtf: No… The gameplay should reflect the story. Sheesh.

Sakura only needs her Ultra damage boosted TBQH. Though I’d love to see her get bonus buffs like a faster fireball (which would be my only 2nd request).

You wouldnt want her standing roundhouse to be a little faster? I’d take that over a little faster hadoken.:rock:

The thing i hate about her ultra is tat you lose position. Too much delay makes it almost not worth using. Rather go for the mixup unless im sure it will kill.
