On a side note, i don’t see many people doing this but, u2 can punish a fullscreen jump once you see the jumping arc start. Dont sleep on this, even if u see the jump too late you can still pop it out while their on their way down and force them to eat u2 chip damage which is also very crucial when your both down on life since it opens up possibility to end the round by any kara tu / tk chip damage etc…
Point : U2 anti-air , dont forget to pop that shit out once in a while.
Took second at the break again. Lost to Chris G’s Sak. Beginning to think Sagat might lose to her of only because at mid range risk vs reward favors her so heavily. A random hit could lead to a huge life loss and set-up for mix-ups. Not a good look. So in response I hit the lab to find out what buttons beat her, her frame data on her tatsus, and other various exercises to get better at the match. Also went into the sakura forums and made a journey thread there.
Has anyone been able to figure this out? Ive done the same set ups as in the vid and cant get them to come out. Im assuming that my timing is just off. Cuz what happens is ill set it up and go for it and rather then hitting them as a cross up, its just me tiger kneeing into them while they go to standing.
Hey part people i am new here but not new to gat… have played since before vanilla and after, just had a few questions… I have a massive problem when it comes to gat, i used to have 5k-bp while using d-pad and now im four months into figt stick and feel slow and cant block for nothing. If any one has some advice that would be nice ? if anyone is looking to mentor i would be down for that… i have a bad habit also of getting upset and going in to break face when i know gat is a heavy zoning keep away character. I just hate playing keep away and like to break face with the big man like i used to. but his cr-lp not being able to cancel and just the slow moves and nasty hit boxes get me so upset ( smashed 1 ps3 control which is why i am on stick now). any help would be great thanks…
its either you lack discipline, or sagat is not your style.
sagat can be offensive heavy hitter, but this takes time after you learn how to fight him as a traditional zone base style. this is his fundamental, he was design this way.
for sure, zoning can be a slow grinding process, that few cannot grasp.
either study and experience the brutal learning curve with patience or move on.
when you play sagat, you gotta treat the fight like a math formula.
i’m not joking.
i actually am not playing him in that gam,e because of how different he feels. i dont want it 2 throw me off in this game. im running raven, marduk(or someone broken) if marduk isnt good. Im not gonna put a ton of work into sfxt cause i think it is way over hyped but thats just me. its good but not that goood. I could never love it like i love this game/
