True enough, but it had it’s place in certain match-ups and raw spaced TK could still be used to frame trap
Daigo’s standing jab spam reduce Sagat to ST new Sagat status. It’s amazing how much stuff it beats

Mago still double-knee traps Daigo, if only for one set, but it removes around 35 damage on block and can’t be c.mk’d to make the TK whiff. I think this will still be viable in SSF4 but to a lesser degree.
lmfao
ouch
lol nice catch Shadow.
Was just wondering about this before , What will stop people just using EX Tu instead of AS Tu? i wonder what the damage difference is , If Ex tu still does 180/200 damage that I really dont see a point of AS except the extra juggle possibilities. Atleast with Ex tu I can confirm it during a combo. both use 1 meter , but if ex tu still does 200 and as does 170 then whats the point?
AS TU leads to more damage on an Ultra juggle, EX does not.

2 ssf4 combo with sagat
The King lives.
At least he has to earn that damage by burning meter like everybody else. Sagat was always supposed to be high damage but with FADC’s it was just too free. Now you have to choose between frikken bigtime damage or more frequent safe FADC options. I like this solution.
It really looks like AS TU has juggle property
alioune can you confirm the fadc usage there? 443 dmg gdlk
Take a look at move inputs, definitely FADC… you see MP+MK and dash in both instances.
Like DHEvil said, he has to burn more meter now if he wants big damage or choose to do less damage and keep more meter… yay for more options and more of a risk:reward off random guessing.
Pretty sure that was Angry Scar, not FADC.
The combo was j.hk, c.mk xx AS -> c.lp xx TU xx FADC -> AS -> TU
It used a full bar.
Hmm, so against an airborne opp, would f+hk, f+hk, AS -> TU work?
“Like everyone else”? Everyone else has to spend full super meter for a 400 damage combo off a jump in?
It’s cool how you can slide Angry Scar in the middle of his combos though. That just might end up his main meter usage.
445, and he didn’t have to use all 4 stocks. With 1 stock he got a good 330+ damage combo off of jump-in, and there are probably even more damaging combos that Sagat can cook up with the added AS juggle functionality.
Before, Sagat got 170 damage on Tiger uppercut+ludicrous normal damage AND he could save all his EX for FADC’s, making all his massive damage setups completely safe. Most characters don’t have safe, big damage setups. That’s why they’re big damage. They’re risky. Now Sagat is on an even playing field. You choose safe, low damage or big, risky damage.
Yeah, the TK -> AS TU in the corner was nice. Is it the AS giving TU juggle capability or did they just add it to the TU in general, I wonder?
Either way, point was that even though Sagat was supposed to be a high damage character, he sure doesn’t seem high damage anymore, even with the AS. Going by the recent blogs, it seems like they may have nerfed overall damage across the board, not just Ultra damage. So that makes it not so bad for Sagat, but I still think that to get good damage out of Sagat in Super is going to cost you, moreso than a good amount of other characters.
imo the scar looks way too efficient dmg wise. should increase his dmg by 50 or 60% max or just leave as it and not freeze the screen. that move is going to be really gay with the screen freezes im sorry. way too easy to dick the pace of a match AND do a good chunk of added dmg. not to mention all the new combo possibilities that are now im sure present due to that move. imo the move needs to be tweaked a bit. too good as i
