his tiger cannon does crap damage from the FADC but otherwise his damage nerf doesn’t seem to be that bad overall. From the looks of it about a 10% reduction? on most characters that means they probably get an extra 100hp to play with. that’s not game changing. that’s assuming adon has 1000hp of course.
It’s pretty severe, actually. I don’t think it’d be enough to make him horrible, but the loss of that combined with his loss of s.LK as a great normal is enough to drop him quite a bit.

I doubt that but we’ll see once people get their hands on the game. He was still able to make Adon drop to about 50% of his health with a few solid hits. What’s clear is that his hit confirm into TU doesn’t hit anywhere near as hard which is good considering how safe it was to do and how much damage it did.
you forgot to note that sagat’s been given a 100hp nerf…so they get 200hp to play with.
Yeah, Sagat has always been a wall of tiger shots and long kicks. No surprise that his monsterous rushdown has been reduced. He’s not meant to be good at that.
Yeah, it looks like just his specials hurt less.
Btw, to clarify, when I said drop quite a bit, I meant just being dropped from top tier, but he’ll still probably be top 10 easy.
Wow looks like your better off doing ex lts or tk off of a fadc f.hk instead of that ultraII. That ultra will have to be used differently for sure. Still wondering what kind of things will be able to set up off of the scar move if any.

He’s saying that since Sagat has a damage output nerf, the player will basically get 100 extra hp in every match. Hence, “an extra 100hp to play with”.

Damn! The damage on HP Tiger Uppercut -> FADC -> f+HK -> U2 is awful, indeed. It seems as though most hits on the Tiger Cannon do not even connect. I honestly see no use for this apparently weak ultra combo at this point since Sagat players will need all the damage they can get in SSFIV via the U1 staple combo.
Ultra II will probably be an useful in tandem with Sagat’s fireball game instead of his combo game if Ultra I doesn’t do much better damage.
umm u can still power up tiger uppercut and save it for your cr. lk hit confirmable combo. Now you have to use your tiger uppercuts wisely and save them for ur combo and use a different anti air from time to time. OMG Strategy!!!
What do people do to get past fireballs, Focus?
Just time a Ultra fire ball when you know someone is going to focus through it, much safer this his first ultra.
Ultra 2 is supposed to have better start up frames than Ultra 1 as well. So it may be better for reversing things. I heard a rumor that apparently he can reverse horizontal blanka ball with ultra 2. A good Blanka won’t horizontal ball u much either way but if you get full damage off a reverse it could be substantial.
i really dont understand all the talking about sagat been shit in these game , im confident he will still be top cause hes fireball game still the same plus hes st.hk still there also lets not forget about the knees that guy still hit like a tank and trust me all these new characters gonna have hard time dealing with sagat and gief
removing st.lk is not so horrible but it is a very good normal, it kinda changed the way sagat plays, which is interesting than doing tiger shots all day -__- and i think even though they nerfed his damage, and considering most of his game is intact, he is still a beast…
