Nothing as long as you dont let it get to your head. Sagat falsely makes people think they are actually technically good and skilled at the game.
The only thing I can see thatās really āwrongā with it, is when you know good and damn well that youāre tier whoring, however, when someone claims your character is too good, you talk about how theyāre not really that good.
Thatās the shit that gives tier whores a bad name in my book. I donāt have a problem with people picking the best character in the game. If you want to win, thatās what you do. But you donāt go and lie about that character not being too good, when that is the very reason you are playing him.
Im with ya db9, ill be trying to alt Cody as my failed attempt to alt Rufus in vanilla didnt work out to well.
Iād actually go so far as to say that if you are a high level player, tier whoring is where its at.
But if you are LEARNING the game, using a god tier character is going to probably hamper your progress overall. Having tools that are THAT good can be a crutch in some ways.

The problem is blaming your lose to how good the other character is rather than your knowledge of the matchup.

Just the other day, I played about 40 matches with a Sagat player and beat him ONCE. However, it was the most fun set Iād played in a long timeā¦ I donāt believe in complaining about the other personās choice of character. They can use who they want. You just gotta do you. If I wanted to, I could use Sagat, too.
It does bother me when people SERIOUSLY complain about their losses do to the character the opponent used. However, tiers really exist, and, if you play a low tier against a high tier (aside from match up specific stuff) youāre probably going to loseā¦ Thatās just a fact.
knowledge can only get you so far. Try using Vega on a Sagat that also knows what hes doing and you pretty much condemned yourself to death.

lol. Why are you people complaining? lol, this shit is funny cuz huants and several others were trashin me in the capcom IRC till I came in and talked to them and diffused the situation. I guess itās easy to shit talk someone till you understand where they are coming from. Me personally, Iām the type of nigga that when I play a character I fully dedicate myself to them. But I do not delude myself. I know why I play that character. Honestly, to me character loyalty is nonsense. I have no feelings towards Sagat. He doesnāt even fuckin exist. How the fuck am I gonna like something thatās not even real?

I have done more then my fair share for the Sagat community and I still have more knowledge I wanna drop. You know what Henaki said to me about posting my knowledge in the Sagat forums? Donāt waste your time man the sagat forums is a joke. So, whoās the real Sagat player here? The guy that admits to being a tier whore but busts his ass by sitting in the lab and posting every single little scrap of knowledge he obtains as well as writing an article to help people level up OR a person that doesnāt post any Sagat knowledge he obtains and merely sits on his high horse telling guys like me that we are tier whores while making a conscience decision to horde knowledge?
