im curious though, they nerfed the dmg on TU
but did Ryu’s srk dmg get nerfed as well? the fp version does 10 less dmg, but only has a 1 frame startup in comparsion to TU’s 5 frame start up
All of Ryu’s SRKs are active on the 3rd frame, if I’m not mistaken. They don’t do TU damage and don’t have TU range.
Kara tiger shot is not easy. If it was everyone will be doing it. That is unless you are a pad player, which it is easier to perform because the ps3 pad automatic reset the direction back to neutral.

i think alot of people dont use the kara tiger shot because they want to turtle and spam them from across the screen, losing distance between you and the other guy is baffling to them.

Whats good about it and why should people choose it (Apart from the Coolness or choosing it on purpose)
How is Tiger Canon better then Tiger Destruction? (in the sense of function)
I can only think of vs. some blind fireball throwers, it can kill them with a sudden ultra in distance, but no one do that in serious games, right?
but in all other situation, Destruction seems better?
If I have to make some suggestion,
Tiger Cannon doesn’t change the nature of playing against Sagat at all. Well, you can use it against a fireball spammer as you mention, but who wants to do a fireball war with Sagat? The only good thing is getting full ultra in the corner.

I really hope that there’s some unique function for it, but unfortunately i couldn’t think of any…
Capcom should tweak it a bit to make it worth to stay… otherwise it will just like giving Zangief with a 2nd command throw ultra with less damage…
One more imagination, what about One big fast tiger cannon which only got 1 hit and whoever get hit with it reflect from the wall like Gouken’s Ultra2?
Anyway I hope capcom dont change it to something like a command throw while they can’t think of anything else… (ie grab, kick 3 times, tiger cannon!)
So, you have one Ultra that amazing and ridiculously easy to combo into. And another that you can also combo into, and can be used at a distance… And you’re whining about it? Look at the rest of the cast, man. Tiger Cannon is fine. And it deserves to stay. Not that you guys will use it.

We’re discussing about the function, properties and usage of the second ultra is just too similar to the first one, not “OMFGITSNOTPOWERFULENOUGHFORUSTOPAWN”
As the Dev team said Ultra is something different giving the char another strat. to use or to fight against and for sagat this is absolutely not the case, I dont mind if they give something weak like 250dmg as long as the usage is different, there has to be a point for the player to choose that ultra, not something “same usage with different animation”
The way they work are almost the same, no one blind fireballing sagat,
in this case its just like giving ryu a yellow hadouken with fire and name it “golden hadouken” as ultra2 or giving Zangief another command throw and name it “Real 720 Buster”
