slept for 3 hours, back to the crack. Sagat is still solid there is no doubt. I feel you have to play a little more…lame? Control the space of teh stage a little more. Cant just rush down press buttons n do TKs.

And about dudley, I was beating javits in 13 seconds against his cody… That isnt me saying that im better then javits or saying im good. Its me saying watch out for dudley, 13 second match is pretty damn quick for any character to do
Played sagat today on SSF4 a few times , few things. Game plan will have to be changed a little to compete at high levels I think. No more rushdown sagat. Its just not worth it with the damage output. his focus attack is ALOT slower , lost damage nearly everywhere, links are slightly tighter aswell. Angry scar is good but good luck hitting hk angry scar ultra, or alot of the angry scar combos. shit needs practice. Alioune might of showed it n made it look easy but 90 % of sagat players wont be able to pull it off. So dont think he has a one ex bar ultra. Second ultra is great in fireball wars , punished shinjis deejay full screen with ultra after ex ts. All in all though he just doesnt feel the same to me . This is all day one talk though. Im sure theres alot more for me to find out. ill try n update since i can play the game freely now .
Also IMO Dudley is wayyyyyy wayyyyy overrated . T-hawk and Deejay are both as good as Dudley.
Give it a week of practice, and anyone who wants to be good will have AS bnb combos
I doubt alot of people will even get close to maxing out angry scar. If 90% of Sagats could not kara punish stuff on reaction or do his option selects in SF4 then they will not master 2 QCB in the middle of a combo, let alone in kara combo set ups. Capcom have been smart with the motion as you have to be doing motions in the opposite direction to all his specials and constantly doing this in 1/2 frame situations to guarantee it lands as part of a bnb. IMO Angry Scar is a great addition, but it has been said before, adds 10 more damage to a move that people have been used to hitting hard with (without having to charge it) for 1 bar of EX and it’s execution is not straight forward in combos! I really don’t mind if I get hit with a simple Bnb with Angry Scar, it wont feel much different to what I have been used to for the last year. What I won’t be looking forward to is when someone like Alioune puts 2 of them into a combo and I see half my life vanish before my eyes and somehow find myself sat at the other end of the screen.
ok i played a little bit of sagat and heres what i found out. well the most obvious reasons were the buffs hes no more powerhouse. also jumpins man i dont know it may have been me or the lag on tvs but his priority on his dp had been nerfed, well it seemed that way to me i was either trading or it was getting beat clean. st lk is ass no priorty whatsoever i think this is really bad for him as i first thought ok he has cr mk. but cr mk doesnt startup as fast and it doesnt have as good range as st lk. didnt try out ultra 2 that much if your going to choose to combo dp into fadc you may as well choose tiger destruction does more damage. sagat feels different alot different honestly he just feels like another character theres nothing that makes him stand apart from the cast. i think capcom did the right thing at mid level play he wont stand out as much but at high level he lle obviously be much more deadly. dudley is not overrated not at all this guy is ridiculous he does have some horrible matches against tank character such as gief, hawk, maybe sagat. but seriously if dudley knocks you down he has a wealth of options to destroy off one knockdown.
New bnb combo without angry scar for sagat is cr lk cr lk cr lp Tiger knee Hk (160 dmg 2 first hits) instead of TU

[]I’m fairly sure they sped up some of Sagat’s normals, or either gave greater advantage. Cr.jab x 3 was shitloads easier, as was the cr.short, close st.jab link (both one frame).
[]Standing short doesn’t position as well for Tiger Knee, but the first hit still has damn good range.
[]Tiger knee does 90 on the first hit and 30 on the second. Meaning you get hit by a well positioned knee, you take 30.
[]I think they lessened advantage on Tiger Knee (at least the first hit) - in vanilla you can tiger knee (1-hit) fadc cr.jab and combo - I couldn’t do that at all, even on CH. This could be caused by slowing his FADC dash, or his dash period though, as the dash out of moves seemed to be slower.

T-Hawk was in the corner and I was stuffing pokes with 2-hit st.RH and it could not be cancelled either.

[]It doesn’t seem like U2 has any invincibility, at least not upper body, or if it does it’s small. Hawk was slightly past half screen, did condor spire (think thats the name?), I did U2 immediately and they traded (fireball still came out like Ryu).
[]U2 is 8 hits. Tiger uppercut fadc u2 removes two of these hits. TU FADC f+HK removes 3 hits. I originally thought that whatever move prior to U2 removed 2 hits but it seems to be move specific.
[]U2 juggles easy after Tiger Genocide near the corner and I think I got it in the open once. I was able to get over 600 dmg from jumpin, cr.MK xx short tiger genocide -> U2. The U2 hits 6 times here I believe.

HP and MP headbutt on block = Tiger Cannon Reversal - tested it yesterday
U2 punishes T.Hawk’s air dive easily…though that one’s sort of obvious. =p
sounds good but also honda can headbutt through sagats low tigershots i already see this match alot closer now.
not really. I tested this like mad yesterday. At full screen Sagat recovers in time, no matter which headbutt Honda uses (bar Super). You have to be in a bit from full screen and even then have to react the second the tigershot comes out. If you do it too late and Honda has not left the ground then the tigershot beats the headbutt on start up or Sagat still blocks and punishes. EX headbutt as Alioune has Already said will be better though if Sagat throws a bad low tiger. I still see it being 7-3.
Ultra lossing hits it’s because it doesnt have infinite.Going from Alioune’s vids, i think tiger cannon has Juggle of 7, whereas metsu hadouken has juggle of 8.Metsu does more damage and juggles for more hit/damage.Does tiger shot at least have a better startup or/and travels faster to compensate the damage difference from metsu?
I am not a top tier Viper by no means but I definitely try AS stuff out for sure.
Sagat seems funner to play with AS.
He looks to be beastly but a more tamed beast.
The way Capcom dealt with Sagat in Super is admirable. They took away what he didn’t deserve (a good footsie tool that led to traps, Trade > Ultra, wack damage) and replaced it with tools to compensate where he should be strong.
Sagat will still be beast, but will require a more careful gameplan.
Huh? Where did he get buffs to where he should be strong?
AS will lead to huge damage, meaning his close game is still quite scary. Also making te first hit of St.RH cancellable is nice, adding to his close game.
Unless you don’t think the combo damage/potential from AS is a buff to his close game?
