Why don’t they just give him a proper uppercut and make F+HK not juggle. i mean, nobody ever thought it should be able to juggle to begin with. AA F+HK setting up a juggle state is perfectly fine, but it shouldn’t have the ability to juggle.
I can’t see any reason why his uppercuts shouldn’t be something like LP 120, MP 140, HP 160. It’s freaking Sagat. He’s supposed to have the big damage uppercut.
The way they nerfed him from vanilla to super was completely retarded. Like, how difficult is it to just decrease the level of damage he does and and nerf his juggling? What do they do? They keep the juggle properties on F+HK (which NOBODY thought was legit), but they nerfed his tiger shot juggling. Did anybody have a problem with that? Who asked for that nerf?
Jesus, if his uppercut was such a problem, why didn’t they just remove the kara cancel ability on f+HK? Sagat’s uppercut and his fireballs were completely fine in vanilla. So was his st.LK. They nerfed him in the wrong way.
So did Sagat’s changes get posted? I can’t find them anywhere and there’s not much talk about them here. Haha, everyone quit Sagat now? Nerfed that bad?
Fix hitbox on retarded knees so they don’t whiff, and make LK have decent damage on the 2nd hit but with the same current frame advantage. Really pathetic shit when you juggle LK TK twice in the corner for 60dmg. Also it’s like a slap on the wrist when you break a focus attack for 30dmg.
Will Angry scar still add 80 dmg to the TU? If so here comes 200dmg HP TU. But if it’s still 180 it’s even more useless, you waste a bar of EX for a measly extra 60 dmg on a 120dmg uppercut. Only use would be against Rog or Gouken to break focus.
st.LK 2nd hit 30 dmg, having it cancel would be too good a buff again.
Fix Ultra 1 whiffing in corners, come on.
Reality:
A bit more fun to mess around with but I’m dumping you Sagat for Dictator, your 7-3 vs. Guile should be fixed by now (Capcom said they wanted to get rid of 7-3 matchups), and 5-5 or better vs Chun + Honda. Win-win.
Good news is though, Guile got some huge nerfs, the fire ball war will now be back in Sagat’s favour since his meter build up got nerfed.
No more fear of eating huge damage off of back knuckle or any flash kick.

Sagat may not have gotten all the buffs needed, he’ll be a lot more competitive now with the nerfs to other characters.
The damage to the TU is going to go a long way. I hope it’s a bit more than 120(lets say 130/140) but if it keeps the AA damage I’ll be happy.

If his lk knee is better as LI Joe said it was, he’d be a bit over mid-tear, upper mid? I also want to see the priority they give to st.lk, as of right now it’s a pretty good counter poke but takes off horrid damage. If they increase the priority(add with counter hit) you could be get 30~40 a counter poke which isn’t bad.
You really need to keep your expectations low. This way when the game comes out and Sagat still isn’t worth anything you won’t be pissed off at Capcom for no reason and stressing yourself out. And if he IS worth something then it’s a happy little surprise.
