I’ll have to check again maybe tomorrow or next week, didn’t pay attention to any AS damage and was trying to pull off some AS combos. Got so used to using punches that canceling from RH is going to take a little bit more dexterity.

Yes , Now you can put a scar inside your scar so you can scar teh angry super scar. Hence you angry super scar uppercut.

Remember that SH did get worse startup. So yea, but i do agreee with you , i dont think it got nerfed, i watch another acho vid and a sagat was doing well with zoning so yea… Definetely a scarier character ;D
Actually Sonic Hurricane start up time got nerfed so that could possibly be why he wasn’t raped by it.

I knew f+HK was different in speed from vanilla. I knew my eyes weren’t playing with me. Glad the speed is back up and LK knee is back to vanilla status also. Goooo KING.
Looks like barely anyone showed up to the arcade to play for Christmas Eve, so that gave me some time to test stuff out and what not. Incoherent thoughts in no particular order.
*Cr. Short seems to stuff Yun’s EX shoulder on wakeup, not his EX dragon kicks though, that was beat out.
*Sagat’s U1 traded with Yang’s super on a divekick that was fairly high up in the air
*Speaking of divekicks, unless the twins are doing it to where it whiffs on purpose or hits near the shins, uppercut trades into your forward RH/Ultra combination
*From messing around, AA tiger knees are around the same damage as SSFIV, and a ground uppercut took out around 1/7th of the lifebar for Ibuki.
*Scar seems kind of useless at the moment, still only good for use against characters with armor properties
*Yun’s regular shoulder is not safe on block, uppercut can be done on reversal timing
*The hitbox for the uppercuts seemed to have changed again because it hit slightly behind on a divekick from one of the twins
*Also close strong hit from behind a divekick also.
*Cr. Fierce also stuffed Yang’s divekick from a distance, Yun not so much from how the player angled it
So far I’ve been slaughtering all the Yun’s and Yangs that are around. It may take them a while, but so far I haven’t seen anything that’s so scary from fighting against either of them since between both of the twins, it’s a matter of them trying to get in and the favor is stacked against you. Adjusting your zoning with karas and the uppercut really work in Sagat’s favor, especially since the stupid setups for the trade ultras work a lot better with him now. Do watch where you place your tiger shots though, the recovery is still the same for both high and low.

Thanks for the information, but I’d like to know how sagat does against his bad matches from console. Especially Fei long. What about ken? I kinda think they both beat sagat. Unless sagat does a lot more damage in this game, or more damage than them.

I mean, it’s really easy to tell sagat is better, but from what I’ve seen. I haven’t really seen anything that wow’d me, or really any sagats doing that good. I think sagat is still mid tier, but he’s not in that weird void anymore. The void of being overall pointless and not worth playing.(obvious this is subjective to what someone considers pointless. I wanted to add this in here, before someone bugs me about saying that.) Now he’s worth playing again now finally.
All im saying is , the few high level sagats that still used him in super or mained him… has had all their hard work finally put into good use. All the people that dropped him in favour of other characters cant seriously go back and learn super sagat now. Even Mago still uses super sagat in the same style as vanilla… ( watch gamerbee v mago 45 minute set) .
Like nerdjosh says , the people that forgot everything they learned and solidified their game , this is your game .
Match ups I TRULY struggled with in super and I hope someone can test out and let me know the differnece now?
Fei long ( Evans , Starnab etc. ) From what im hearing fei got buffed except nerf to HK cw. Has anyone played any solid feis? how did u do? any difference in the match up?
Ibuki ( Fasoll , f-word) I hear her vortex got nerfed… is this match pretty much over after one knock down again? does ibukis vortex still kill sagat?? has this match up got any better at all??
Dudley ( Infexious (!) , Kimokoan) I never thought this match up was too bad until I played a certain player… Does Dudley still destroy sagat at mid range? Any changes in this match up at all??

If you didn’t get the idea from the text above , if you were one of those shitlocks that played sagat in vanilla for t3h fr33 w1nZ then dropped in day one super. Then you might aswell save your time and go ride the twin bandwagons.
As mentioned above , those that played vanilla sagat but not super sagat will have a hard time going back to him.
Spare us the sight of seeing scrub sagats at the arcades.
For matchups, I can’t help you all there with that unless the competition that comes around actually plays. All I can say right now from playing others that played the older characters is that the Akuma match up is still pretty gay, Guy is easier to fight now because Sagat can now actually deal damage/priority is given more on his normals, Adon is a little bit harder to deal with since he got buffed a bit, just minor inferences right now.
Also for the Super vs Vanilla Sagat debate, I’ve seen an older player who played Sagat in Vanilla but ditched him for Rufus in SSFIV getting win streaks and still playing solidly in AE because of the buffs. Not that I’m infering anything but if you have at least a general idea of how Sagat works, that you should have no problem, Vanilla or SSFIV experience otherwise.
