Hate to derail this thread any more, but are there any links to the old Azrael blog archives? I just clicked the first one in the archives on that site and everyone is talking about all these old blog entries that “aren’t up yet on the new site”. I was unfamiliar with the site, but I really want to go back and read all the entries now. If Azrael (or anyone else) knows where the old entries are, that’d be great! Okay, I’m done derailing.
The last archived blog entry on that page, “My Kids Are Perverted”, has a bunch of comments talking about all sorts of older blog entries that aren’t archived on gaijinsmash.net. I’d like to go back and read all the old ones so I understand Az’s history and start. I think you misunderstood. My Kids Are Perverted is the first blogpost he made about his students.

Well since I’ve been in Osaka I’ve been taking a lot of non-sim related matches…because I didn’t have a tripod at the time I started recording. But this is a good thing.

The next upload is going to feature Chari (Blanka) and Uryo (Viper) along with Naiki, myself, and Oriku…all grandmaster level players. None the less, these are some of osaka’s better players in these vids so enjoy for now, sorry I 've been sick so this should make up for it.
Was at Avion last night…I was playing a lot (vs 50Yen, Fuerte player) and Chari. Cantona and KOG kept losing to Chari every time…shit was so funny. That match is obviously as hard as shit for them. Oh yeah, and I finally got at Chari 2-1, that was obviously satisfying since as I told you the last time I played him he beat me like 4-1 or something.
My BP now is at 34800 and 62%!
200BP away from being AAA, still 5000 away from being Master status at least.

When you throw out a jab fire and then do IAT BnB cancel into Super, it does more damage to just hit the air fierce and cancel straight into Super, due to damage scaling.

Have you watched Daigo go up against Mago at all? If so, who has the upper hand?
I m not sur about last result but few month ago Daigo was having the upper hand.
Daigo knows very weell this match up, so it s quiet hard for sagat player.
I m ok with sabin, if I had to go against daigo i will choose to play dalshim viper or blanka. it s seems like the match up he havent completly master yet. or may be just match up that are harder than sagat.

At 1:25 I think this Honda did meaty jump fierce option select standing roundhouse to Viper, and the rh hit because Viper backdashed. I like it. I also like standing fierce buffered to super.

seriously when i lose 75% damage for getting hit by a raw ultra…that pisses me off.
sure hes not as bad as the top tiers in other games, but he gets stupid damage too easily.
i especially wanna go like wtf when i get hit with counterhit uppercut…its basically like 20% on sim!

too hard to win in 1 game format consistently.
also, daigo can beat everyone but also lose to anyone.
player a can beat player b consistently but lose to player C especially in single game single elim.
hard to rig the brackets here since everyone is good in tourneys usually. get my drift?
to answer your questions, teams promote char diversity and are as fun as hell. u cant pick the same char 2x on a team (not always)…and you have to play a char that compliments ur other teammates bad matches.

haha i had some GDLK okonomiyaki and yakitori the past few days in osaka/kyoto. kansai food is top tier. (compared to kanto)
if the game is good enough that personal play style shines over tiers, then char love > *. So I agree with you. Though I still see Japanese lose their counter fights all the time. But in a one match tournament its possible to win vs your counter match more than say a 2/3
lol i agree, sagat players should have no complaints…except when youre fighting against a gouki that mastered vortex + fundamentals…thts the 1 time i legit feel sorry for sagat players since hes so tall. other than that, die in a fire rofl.

well theres your answer. a lot of players grind BP vs weaker or midlevel players just like XBOX live, lol. or some people will ragequit and not put in their card if theyre losing too badly, gotta keep that BP/win percentage up son

rufus vs sim is doable but gay. im still improving but the match feels like 7-3.
good thing about being in kansai = lots of rufus/viper/gief, all tough matches for sim.
i have a ryu card but i really dont play him much if at all. honestly the ryu/rufus match isnt terrible like it used to be i dont think.

I agree, this honda has a different style from Akimo’s for sure. I like his option selects. Kansai has a different playstyle from Tokyo IMO.
Also, did anyone not notice the dead-body crossup by the Vega player vs Honda at 4:23? That shit was godlike too.
oh yeah before i go to bed just wanted to say im at 35800 BP, 63% (!) win ratio now and AAA…just need 4K more BP for dat master!! Chari, some master Ken (with 77k BP!) and Cantona were at Avion today and I got a few matches recorded…but they all fucking left at the same time. Wack.
