From SRK?
My bad, missed the link in this thread. Makes sense!
for thursday go to shibuya freeplay night (http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=168892 ), chances youāll find a few other foreigners there too.
as for trfs⦠http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=185316 (though some of the infos in the first postās outdated)ā¦
oh and more trf stuff:
On 23rd september (wednesday) which is today i guess, trfās holding a intermediate level(35K BP and below) 5on5 tourney, starts around 5pm, 100yen to join(not sure perplayer or perteam but if i have to guess its per player. Besides the BP limit, NO NAME player and PP(player point) 0 cant join. You can try joining if you want, maybe some teams will be lookin for players or you can just watch and play at the other machines since usually only 2 are gonna be used for the tourney.
trf monday - freeplay from 12pm-4pm = 300yen
on monday too thereās a weekly intermediate level(30k BP and below - yes its diff than the above 5on5 tourney) tourney. starts 730pm (entrance fee 100yen)
id suggest if you wanna go to trf, at least come an hour or so earlier.
of course you have to visit bigbox too but on weekdays its proly best to go there later in the evening (iono after 7pm till midnight i guess) if you wanna see top players
at what time start the 5 on5 tournament ?
can be funā¦
yo its written up there lol
anyway just in case, its 5pm, and 100yen.
wow⦠Az has some serious writing skills, all those entries are amazingly constructed.
Good job sir, you have one of the best blogs iāve seen.
thread title says bigbox vids are live but where the HELL are they hosted?
kthnx
Try FrameAdvantageDotComās uploads. He has so many that the vids of Art got pushed down. If youāre not into Dhalsim, isnāt that great of a watch but good player nonetheless.
Art, can you somehow tally who are some of teh characters youāve felt were your greatest challenges that arenāt playing the known top-tier (Sagat, Gief, Ryu, Akuma, etc).
Also, i posted this awhile ago about some of the Ken strats being sick and hoping the Japanese would have thought of some stuff too, only reason is because iām trying to switch things up, and i figured if they still have more tricks in the bag, (like i am certain Dr. Chaos does too), then thereās still hope for Ken to be one of those āunderdogā characters that can push to the top of high-level competition.
I know his most devastating combos leave sht at 50/50, and it pisses me off to no end, but i guess iām still hoping. Sort of like how the console players (Gen, Gouken) are starting to get more recognition at high level, (partly because theyāre not known as well for matchups, and because they still have tons of tricks up their sleeves).
So i guess my 2nd question is sort of where do you think Ken is, is it true that everyoneās seen mostly all there is to Ken, or are there some new tricks still in store?
Holy shit is that really you? I still read Gaijin Smash from time to time. Shit I even donated money one time when you were trying to fly back to home years ago. Well Iāll be damnedā¦
Sorry for the derail.
Oh thoseā¦
already seen them
Yeah Azrael, that blog is totally badass, just went and read a bunch to catch up. Penny Arcade had a link to you on their front page, because you gave PA comics to your kids without any words and had them write English captions. One was just āfuck ass shit fuck shitā or something
Sabin SF4 Japan Q/A should be renamed Azrael SF4 IRL Japan Q/A
Do the Japanese hate the " Indestructible " theme song as much as the West seems to?
The one time I played the arcade version it never played, I dunno I donāt have an arcade anywhere near me though.
So they probably donāt give a shit if itās not in the arcade version.
So has anyone over in Japan seen TUCās Dic yet? He has more BP than other dics so he is basically the top Dic. Just wondering if there is anything special about his dic. Too bad there are no videos of his Dic.
I heard Tuc has a nice dic.
/no homo.
:wtf:
omg Azrael writes THAT blog??! Holy shit Az, you were my hero while I was growing up dreaming about being an expat in Japan.
