he already answered this in his latest post.
yeah i am fucking up:lol:
i fought Nemo at Big Box this summer and that guy is a fortress with chun. I am a ryu player and I felt like he had a forcefield around himself consisting of perfectly timed kick and punch pokes…

Keep an eye out for the retarded j-rocker and thats your Garoogamesh
So has Ichi dropped Ken for good? HAvent really seen any decent vids of his Ryu or Sagat, I know there out there, I just havent seen them.
Im tryna be loyal by stickin with Ken, but damn he gets shitted on. Hope the update gives him some more tools.
Ichi was still using Ken as of the God’s Garden tournament one month ago. It was one month ago though.
I know, but damn. I dont know why they’re doin Bernard like that, lol.
Also, Ichi has been playin random as hell lately too.
Yeah it’s hard to play solid with Ken when everyone’s seen all he has to offer. Especially when all of what Ken has to offer still just doesn’t add up with the higher tiers (not even talking the top tiers). His most useful and damaging combos (link to EX hurricane) doing decent damage at best and putting you at a 50/50 situation instead of knocking the opponent down. That leaves a lot of room for people to randomly come back on Ken if they know they can just guess after he comboes them. His pressure just isn’t as solid as it was in games like ST or 3S where all of his BnB’s led to knockdowns cuz that ensures you have positional advantage to win the fight as opposed to praying your opponent doesn’t press the right button before you do after every combo.
If you aren’t going to play random as hell with Ken you’re not going to have much chance to win at high level in Japan anymore. People are going to be looking to react to every chance you give them to win. If they’re fighting against a character that puts them in a 50/50 after every combo…eventually they’re going to get out and land combos that do the same or more damage and lead to knockdowns that actually put Ken in a positional disadvantage. Ken has no choice but to go balls out now it seems just so he can maybe win. If the opponent just blocks and reverses his f+MK and c.MK once they become obvious he won’t get enough damage or setups to win matches and the opponent will just knock him down with more damaging combos that lead with more guaranteed setups to win a match. Hence Rufus, Viper, Chun and most of the upper cast even before the top tiers.
I say wait for SFIV Dash where they give Ken more options for BnB’s that create knockdowns or his combos just do more damage period.
I was toying around with Rufus in training yesterday and I may give the fat man a chance. Im still tryna develop the patience to use Sim & boxer. Ryu/Akuma are still choices, but Akuma requires a lot of work (tons of combos to remember/perfect) Its just that Ive been playing Ken for so long.
He will always be my main tho.
Back to the thread.
Sabin: I contacted Desora and he seems interested in playing you. Will let you know more soon tho.
Man, Desora’s got one mean Sagat and a top-notch Gouken. Of course, I’m not saying anything that everyone doesn’t already know.
I wonder how Sim fares against Gouken.
For those that haven’t read the entire thread, here’s his youtuble channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/desora24
I remember playing your Ken the other night… pretty damn solid bud
Bigbox = Hell for anyone below advanced level. LOL
Just feel like ranting.
Anyway last night freeplay@shibuya was kinda weird. Body aches and shit. Took only a few vids of sabin and kim1234. Played more than taking vids this time lol. If only kim didnt destroy that tripod LOL
3on3 Ranbat again, and my team got 2nd again (underdog team ftw - no one really cheered since the hyped teams got knocked out early - chome taro’s team and Art’s team)… Ponyo’s team won that shit. It was mad close nonetheless. Decided to rush back home straight after that, nearly missing my last train. Home sweet home lol. Wish I live nearer to Tokyo though, sigh.
I guess see ya in a month or so, Art.
i invited sabin to a random game on xbl live i was surprised that he accepted. then i remember you were in japan. i played a very good fuerte. any idea who it was?
and also how much more time do you think you’ll spend in japan?
Thanks. Your Ryu is solid as well.
Shibuya Freeplay Night Casuals (10/9/2009) vids:
Vids arent as many as last week. I played more this week.
Just watched the videos, the Neurosis(claw) vs Sabin(Sim) match was great. These two were actually rushing each other down instead of trying to keep there distance like they normally do against pretty much the rest of the cast. That was a nice change of pace and pretty interesting to watch.
You should stop posting videos.
It’s making Conor and I depressed.
doesn’t ojisan mean uncle? So Ojisan Boy is Uncle Boy and Super Ojisan is Super Uncle?
Is Neurosis maining claw now?
