im sorry i havent responded in the past few days as promised.
recently a lot of people think (no im not naming who) think that the whole point of this thread is a EGO TRIP for myself so that srk scrubs can say good job sabin! and i can feel good about myself.
so needless to say, that pissed me the fuck off and makes me wonder why im even going through the trouble of writing about japanese players and begging people to take vids etc since its a ego trip about myself and not about the japanese scene.
so i had some time to think it over, and im not gonna punish srk because of what a few people think, i know most people appreciate what i write hence why this thread is always at the top of srk.
so give me some time, i promise ill answer all questions. currently im getting ready for osaka so im a little busy and i took a few days off playing sf4.
daigo was at bigbox tonight btw…i tried to record a few but they wouldnt let me record shit. employee shut that shit down. hes STEPPING IT UP for seasons beatings 4.

I’ve got a sort of vague question… but that you’ve seen, how do the Rufus players over there get in on Sagat and Ryu to actually do stuff? It seems like such a novice question in retrospect, but maybe there’s some sort of secret I’m not getting.
Hate to continue questions but is this Sako guy people are talking about Sakonoko because he plays on live a good amount and is a sick Akuma from what I can tell. I saw some vids of him 2 months ago and he was combo-ing into the the loop every chance he got.
Back on topic, thanx for all the info Sabin butI have another question. I only see Japan Akuma’s on TRF and in other tourneys doing 2-3 reps of the loop then combing either to LK tatsu->sweep or just LP->sweep is there a reason the only do 2-3 repetitions because I would think with their execution they could easily get 4-5 on Sagat/Abel and push them to the corner but they don’t. I’m thinking there may be some spacing advantage they are getting or something.

Probably either damage scaling or the fact that it’s not worth the risk of messing up for like 3% more damage.
plus if they are cornered, crossing them up isn’t such a fun option
Sabin, do you know in any way if these arcade players are practicing or concerned about the console character matchups at all? I bet Seth or Yeb’s Gen can give Daigo a bit of a run for his money.
