trust me people dont listen…im not saying that top players know everything and top players sometimes can be wrong vs srk randoms though…it happens very rarely however. im not saying to listen to top players blindly but weve been through around 1000x more pressure situations compared to the random srk forum goer so yeah.
also i place seth at the bottom of top tier (around top5, top 7.) I cant main seth though, hes mostly a counterpick char if anything more than a straight main, since he gets randomed out a lot due to low defense and one wrong guess is ggpo
ohayo1234 is the best dictator i played. also the dictator i played at trf last night (i dunno his name) is pretty damn good too. we only got to play like 6 games tho or something and he beat me like 4-2 or something i think. come to shibuya freeplay so we can have some more matches man!

YJDK!!! me and scott popular got the money matches going at tougeki…we all money matched aojiru guile and lost. he only wanted to play for 1000 yen (almost 10 bux) and 1 game matches not 2 out of 3. he played marn, flashmetroid i think, myself justin and someone else im forgetting. maybe combofiend? marn tried to pull out a 10000 yen note (100$) but aojiru guile (boxer) didnt wanna do it…didnt wanna take the risk haha, i respect that though. either way, just the fact we got them to money match was amazing. usa on one side japan on other side…scott popular and his homies talking hella shit in japanese…hahaha i was like aojiru san daijobu (are you ok!?!) in the middle of his money match with justin…then justin lost by a pixel lol. i think ebonics/reno have the footage of that. when sbo staff caught wind of it (too many gaijins lol)

I don’t mean to bother you but,
How would you personally rank Guile? I love him and I would say that between him and Blanka are my main and I am not sure which to choose. I saw that a team with guile made it pretty far in SBo (in fact two of them, didnt get to see their matches though) and in fact earlier you said you played money matches against a Guile and lost.
I love his link combos and the recovery from is sonic boom just makes him so adapatable, but his low damage output essentially requies smart comboing using some pretty tricky combos (not necesarily long, but tricky)
Now I see him ranked low (I believe he was actually the bottom of Mago’s list) but the only real reason I can see him rankd low is because he fights such an uphill batlle versus Sagat (7 : 3 in sagats favor I believe) and his kinda useless Flash Kick (it has it’s uses but not really) + Ultra (Only real ways to combo into it is from super or carefully from an anti air FK)
As a Guile main, you made those reasons in your last paragraph sound really insignificant, when they are huge disadvantages. The ability to comeback in this game is really integral to winning, and not having that option really hurts Guile, where as Ryu and Sagat have about a billion ways each to combo into their Ultra’s. Also, Guile’s weirdly low damage output means he has to work twice as hard as everyone else to do damage. He pretty much eats cross ups for free because of his crappy FK, which means when some characters get in, they stay in (Zangief). His sweep is pretty fast with okay range, but it’s super unsafe. Link combos are pretty important in this game too, and Guile’s links don’t do a lot of damage AND they’re pretty difficult (a lot of 1 frame links). Also, unlike the other charge characters, he doesn’t have a lot of longer, practical combos that you can use to build a charge when you don’t have one (Example: Boxer’s cr.lp, cr.lp, cr.lk, headbutt combo allows him to build up the charge within the combo).
Also, Sabin didn’t lose to a Guile. He lost to a Boxer player named Aojirou Guile (I know I murdered his name, sorry).
A: If someone gets a chance to cross me up as Guile, I made a big mistake. though C.HP works alright…
B: yeah low damage hurts him bad
C: honestly, I never use his sweep except in combos for KD, but usually use EX flash as it does more damage.
As for name… durn it. Was hoping that Guile still played well… man, poor guile, someones name is guile and they aren’t picking him…
Edit Add: If I made them seem insignificant, your right, I shouldn’t have, all are big problems, though i play rush down Guile.thats why I said “if they had a chance to cross up I played it wrong” is because my play style means that their only method of attack is essntially to guess right. If they try to jump for a crossup, their going to eat a sonic boom --> KD, resetting the trap.
Though as you said, those things are not insignificant, but are surmountable assuming proper player skill is applied.
