equality on Dino Thunder? Sheeeit. You had the 3 kids who were the core team, Trent… + The Tommy Supremacy. Any fan of DT era remembers Tommy beating a giant monster by himself…no zord or Megazord was even necessary, because he is “Godmode” in the ranger universe. It’s almost unfair to compare teams that didn’t have Tommy involved. It becomes sickening then to also remember that this young punk Trent was able to be the badass “extra ranger” of the season then, and they had to go along with that rule of how “New Extra Ranger is always more badass and apparently more powerful than the regular guys AND the mentor figure…at least until he officially joins the team.”
Extra Tiers—just off the top of my head:
1. Original Green Ranger– The God-Ranger Himself, Tommy Oliver. This dude had the cool dagger weapon that could summon that zord. Not only that, he also used it to make himself temporarily invincible. We all saw how he consistently beat up on the regular Rangers, always managing to look cool in the process. He even infiltrated and kicked them out of their own megazord…probably just because he found it amusing at the time. On top of this he had a green hadouken. This is the greatness that is the Green Ranger. Much later in Dino Thunder, Tommy has to fight his former ranger personas. Here we see that the only truly appropriate opponent for Tommy is himself.
Quantum Ranger Eric from Time Force-- This was another legend. The previously mentioned scene where he still kicks everyone’s ass while holding the box of Quantum power…amazing. He also had probably the best morph of all time. Behold --> [media=youtube]Y_wCPYNU24g[/media]
Zeo Gold Ranger–besides the superficial issue of having the coolest uniform, imo…there is Pyramidis Zord, which was ridiculously powerful. Observe the action: [media=youtube]c_KoxlyBrp0&feature=related[/media] The thing blasts a laser into the sky, next thing y’know there’s magic lightning bolts frying your ass to death. Or, he could transform the thing into the robot mode that can shoot a all kinds of laser firepower from apparently every point on the frontside. Pyramidis shows up on the battlefield…that’s just Game Over, you’re done.
White Ranger Trent, Dino Thunder–able to still stand out as memorable despite being in another Tommy Season. He was also a badguy for a surprising amount of time. Powers— without even looking it up, I remember the dude had teleportation, super-human speed(*appears to be a default power for Ranger characters though) dash attacks, and “Laser Arrows”. He’d draw these energy arrows in midair and direct them to attack.
I’d fucking love to do this, but I don’t know about moving to NZ for 6 to 8 months… plus I live all the way on the other side of the fucking country. Woe is me, I gotta move to Cali.

Yooo, I forgot how broken Pyramidas was until I saw Million’s links. Gold Ranger is a G, and I thought it was very fitting that the OG Red Ranger returns to become the second 6th/Extra/Special Ranger after Tommy.
This is fucking stupid. every other color as “any ethnicity” but then they have white male only for the top spot? You think after all this time they would at least have a Japanese guy a red ranger by now.
yeah it is pretty funny. So far as red rangers we’ve had two black guys, a samoan, a lebanese, and even a woman if you count the A Squad chick in SPD. Yeah its due time for a japanese guy.
Man, if I don’t have to be a Cali resident to get the role, I really should try to fly my ass down there and audition. Mid tier rangers all day, son. Being too broken makes you a tool, and being too weak makes you a pussy. Mid tier is the only tier.
Apparently there’s casting calls. I havent found any info on when and where yet. I did find a forum that has apparently have had interviews with former Rangers… Couldnt confirm if they’re for real or not, but here’s the link.
