It was Bulk, and then there’s Skull’s son, Spike. And I think they’re signed on as Regulars, so yeah.
So Spike replaces Skull huh? Still good, I’ll watch the first ep. later on.
How’s the action/fight scenes though?

They’re not bad. Could be better though. Almost seems TOO clean tbqh. It feels like it actually needs a definition downgrade.
- It felt good to see the Rangers back in action. With the “Saban” logo, too. Right on the top, of the logo, where it should be. Feels a bit like some sort of repetition. I mean, when Disney fully switched it over, we had Ninja Storm. Now, when Saban made the jump to get their show back, we’re seeing Samurai. Toned down Samurai, no less. Then again, it could be based on my perception, of Samurai, to begin with. I’m totally expecting blood somewhere.
The show still was a lovely trip. Looks like Skull smartened up and got Bulk to baby-sit. Talk about reverse-owning. I applaud them for their work, that Saban. They kept things the same to some extent. The fights are cool, but I have yet to see what these kids can really do sans the footage. Hopefully, we’ll get some blood, too. This isn’t some Kenshin shit. I don’t see why they should do that, either. Looks like they’ve turned around the scholastic ethic, too. Dropping out of school? Jason wouldn’t pull that!
I’m wondering where this will leave the team-ups. RPM is a self contained universe and I’m sure Disney has certain turrets set up to hinder that from happening, too. Jonathan is back in the production saddle, so it’s looking really good so far. The cornyness has to happen, I figure.
Is it still 30-40 eps?

I’m too damn old to check this new one out, unless my sister’s kids want to watch it while I babysit.
Ep. 1 of Samurai was nice, and I find that kids will really enjoy it more than adults, which IMO isn’t a bad thing =)
I still prefer Gokaiger more, but this was also good.
Here’s hoping for better stuff as the series progress.

Soooo, is anyone here still watching the show? It has definitely improved compared to the first few episodes.
By the way, I hear there might be auditions for Power Rangers again this year… Anyone thinking about taking a shot at it?
After watching the Japanese Version of the Samurai Series it beats the U.S version by 100x, and Come on the Gold Ranger saying "Excelente " while calling out his Zord was to me like WTF?! What is this Diego!? Dam you Nick!
So folks, filming has officially finished for this season. I hope to see some casting calls come out soon and Saban is set to make a big announcement at the Licensing Expo this week.
Almost every season of Sentai beats out PR, this is nothing new by a mile…
I don’t know about that. There was some PR series that was better than there sentai counterparts. Power Rangers Turbo, RPM, and In Space was better than the sentai counterparts.
Hence that keyword ALMOST. But you should never EVER expect a PR season to be better, especially when this is the first one Saban has been behind since, what, Wild Force? He’s not exactly gonna be on the top of his game.
I’m enjoying Samurai for what it is and its enjoyable. It seems Saban is channeling MMPR Season 1 with this show which isn’t a bad thing. Just a lot more cheesier than usual. Pretty sure he’ll step it up in the next series.
Yeah, and it’s fine. I don’t blame him for going to the old standby to get back on his feet. The question is, can he pull another In Space or Time Force out? Especially since we’re not that far removed from the awesomeness that was RPM.
