Mike Chat knows the casting director and all of the Saban production from his time on Lightspeed Rescue and now he’s one of the more well known and connected martial arts teachers out in LA. They’d probably be more than happy to take his word on anyone who has his stamp of approval. Who’s your friend?

Wow, that’s great Kai. Craig definitely looks like a shoe-in. It says he was trained by Matt Mullins from Kamen Rider Dragon Knight.

So ive been watching them since day 1 and then started recapping episodes on youtube lol. Nostalgic feeling. Gotta say my favs other than the original is Space, Ninja Storm, and Dino Thunder. Space had the most epic ending to a series ever (the red ranger friggen killed Zordon to save the earth), Ninja Storm was surprisingly entertaining and brought back the corny stupid humor of the evil villians with Lothor that was lacking since Zedd and Rita. Dino thunder had Jason David Frank…yeah enough said. Also i hated Operation Overdrive, but it was awesome to see the 4 disney seasons led into battle by fucking ADAM one of the best rangers ever. My audition went quite well in itself actually. Delivered my lines perfectly. Took my time to actually listen to the dialogue. The producer and casting director liked me. Martial arts wise, I kept it basic with a quick and clean combinations. I avoided doing anything fancy because i was barefoot and the floor was just carpet over concrete, and i’m not too confident tricking on that for now. Also, I knew anything I did would still put me in a tier below Craig martial arts wise. So i just made sure i looked better than everyone else and showed the producer i could move. Overall, i was satisfied. All i can do now is wait and hope for yet another callback or a screen test.
And maxx, let’s not forget that Mike Chat also trained Jaden Smith for Karate Kid too. He’s definitely developing a good amount of connections in Hollywood right now.

That’s great, although I think it had been reported a few days ago that all the callbacks had been finished. Who did you audition for? If you get a chance, stop by one of the Ranger fandom boards and report in.
The audition I described WAS the callback this past week. The first audition was about 3 weeks ago. I auditioned for Baron the blue ranger both times

To all of you who have auditioned, I wanna personally congratulate on getting multiple auditions and callbacks! You have a ton of supporters out there, and I encourage you to join several online forums dedicated to Power Rangers, and the cast. Mr. Yellow and myself are from Henshin Justice Unlimited, and we both (among others) are on a quest to seek out info on the new season.
To KillerKai - Congrats on your audition for Baron! If you should get the part, I hope you enjoy your time on set and to be apart of such a legacy.

Thanks for the support guys. Mr. Yellow, again, I wouldn’t be surprised there. another one of my friends who originally auditioned for green, and also got called back for blue. He was also one of the Kamen Riders in the American adaptation so that could work for or against him depending on how you look at it.
So they may shift people around here and there for the roles depending on the look and vibe of the actor. Also another update. One of my friends who I used to train just did a screen test for pink. Funny thing is, she didn’t have to do anything martial arts related. So we’ll see where this goes.

I understand the switching of roles, happens all the time. People go in for one thing and end up doing something completely different.

Yeah, mike is my friend who went in for green originally then called back for blue. I saw one girl go in for Princess Megan in my callback, since they had the Princess Megan callbacks just before the Baron callbacks. And if they end up wanting to have a white guy play the Blue ranger, I’d say Craig has this one on lock if they decide to use actors from Hollywood
Really? I see Craig as more of a Red Ranger. However, the casting info for Blue did say *martial arts experience is required, as with Red it said it would be a plus. Either way, I hope he gets one of the roles, because I saw his audition video on Youtube (character named Raynaldo) and I say he has the acting ability as well!
