Anybody have any tips for 19

the part that I am stuck on is l.srk -> cr.mk . I just cant get cr.mk to land. (I am doing it in the corner, I assume you have to)

I found the successful way for me to do this was to make sure I did the combo max distance. Cr.mk doesn’t seem to connect when to close. I really hope that helps.

I can never get the super to hit, any tips?

I’m having the same problem. I’m wondering if it’s a special sfxt thing where u can cancel the recovery of the srk to go into the special?

Actually, how it works is the cr.MK xx LP SRK hits far enough away that the SRK hits kind of late. Later than usual, anyway. So compared to the normal usage, you recover faster. Then just do the super when you land. I found that part of the trial really easy though, the hard part for me was the 1f link from f+HP into cr.LP.

hmm, I do the super the second I land, so I know I am not doing it too late. Possibly I am executing my cr.mk xx l.srk too close to the kazuya

Alright I got it, thanks for the help guys. A tip to anybody else that is doing 20, don’t practice the end (c.mk xx l.srk -> super) by itself, you will miss with the super if you start too close. But if you do the whole combo it sets you up far enough that your super will hit.

thanks for the info, i was able to hit it easily just by putting kazuya about 3 squares from the corner. Talk about a useless setup lol.

just a general question if anyone knows the answer. Why is it so easy to do srk after the solar plexus strike, but doing a simple jab instead is such a tight link?

It’s not actually a link for f+HP -> SRK. They put a weird property where you can cancel it into SRK (and also super) near the end. This was also the case in the SF4 series. It’s pretty weird.

I believe it’s because there’s some sort of extra leniency for specials, similar to reversal timing introduced with the SF4 engine. Also because special moves can utilize negative edge. So when you press and release a button, you’re doing the special twice as opposed to once with normal moves.

I’m having trouble with trial 17. Every time I try to connect his? H. Joudan Sokutogeri after the Cr.HP I get a launcher instead :s Any tips?

I believe to get launcher you have to do l m h h , so maybe you are pressing too many buttons. Try doing it in sections, only adding a move after you have all of it before correct, so you practice good form.

My shoryuken keeps getting blocked. I assume I am to slow to input the actions for the shoryuken. My current skill wont let me go any faster though.

Any comments/tips? (I understand practice practice practice. Just wondering if there’s a helpful tip out there)

ok 17 done now I stuck on 20 i can’t link f+hp with c+lp, any tip how to do this? second part of this trial is easy to do for me

If cr.LP isn’t coming out, you’re pressing it too fast. If it comes out but is autoguarded by the CPU, then you did it too slow. Adjust accordingly. That’s all anyone can tell you, it’s just a hard link to do.

For trail 20 I find it hard to believe the F+FP to cr. LP is a 1 frame because I land it nearly all the time. Its the super that never connects. Either Kazuyas back is just about to land or its already touching when it comes out.
Im wondering to postpone the cr. mk juggle as late/early as possible, when to jab srk, etc. maddening

Zak, how did you get trail 17 done? I also get the launcher when trying to do the H. Joudan Sokutogeri.
